Blargh, did you know that amphetamines got their big field test during WWII? The Wermacht issued speed to their shock troops before the big offensives. They finally stopped because it took so long for the troops to get back to normal, because when they finally came down, they were useless for months.

Basically, I'm surprised that the feds have not slapped MLB around for rampant illegal distribution of amphetamines over the last few decades

Matt Holliday 3 yr average AWAY from Coors:
.281 .343 .466 .809
That .809 OPS is less then Matsui, Abreu and Jeter, and only 9 pts better then JD. Furthermore, 2/3rds of his total HRs were at Coors. While he is strong, he will be hurt further by Yankee Stadium'd deep LF. Yes, he is a good player, but Coors Field has greatly inflated his value.

Incidentally, greenies/amphetamines have been a controlled substance longer than anabolic steroids have. Amphetamines have been in the CSA since the original 1970 version; anabolic steroids were put in the 1990 edit, if I remember correctly. Also as far as the CSA goes, amphetamines and anabolic steroids are in the same group.
Took long enough for MLB to officially ban greenies, even if how they were in clubhouses has been technically illegal for decades.

I could use the Aaron Boone home run game right about now. I'm pretty low energy. It's odd not having a Yankee game to watch.

Rebecca I know. It all pretty odd and just like the rest of this season there's nothing you can figure out! Why are they better on the road then at home? Why do so many of the teams have bad road records?

In an odd way it's to their credit that the Yankees can win on the road I guess.
