Cheer up Yankees fans! I know you’re hoppin’ mad that the Red Sox dominated the last All-Star game in “your” house so you feel the need to make a big stink out of Papelbon’s tongue in cheek comment but just bear in mind that you won’t remain down for long. In order to justify the $27 hot dog-and-a-beer package at the Stadium you’ll surely sign an aging “big name” to stumble through the end of their career in pinstripes. My prediction: Barry Bonds. Yankee brass doesn’t seem to have any moral dilemmas about signing known cheaters (see Clemens and Giambi for starters). Regardless, enjoy third place this season!

what the is wrong with you people? A daily rag reporter grills Pap and he says “yeah I would like to do my job and get in there and close the game” and this is NEWS? He said nothing bad about Mo. I guess “Pap thinks Rivera is a great picher” was not a catchy enough headline. And then at the parade, you typical classy Yankee fans tell his wife to get a abortion? Yell obscenities in front of the kids? Bunch of puppets – just do what you are told.

my theory is that wearing a cap with a intertwined NY symbol on it makes you stupider than you already are. Us rubes don’t have the imagination to be that stupid.

Evidently the MLB drug testing policy that Bud Selig crowed about on Letterman last night isn’t tough enough to catch whatever Papelbon’s taking.

What a total classless moron. Mo has earned it this season alone. Ignore the rest of his career, the fact that it’s at The Stadium, etc, Mo has been a better closer THIS YEAR too.

Sox fans are out of their minds as well if they think his TEAM winning the world series LAST YEAR has anything to do with who closes the game. Best man wins and that trailer trash is far from the best man.
