"But no sign of Hank. He was back home returning calls from reporters about whether he is going to see the new Batman movie."

Pete - has Hank gotten back to you yet? Did he like the new Batman?

Ohhhhh - don't keep us wating!!!

Last night was amazing, but I want more for George. I want the Hall of Fame, a special day devoted to him at the Stadium, and new street named after him around the new digs...everything. Nothing is too over the top for the Boss. It's because of his over-the-top passion that we have had this glorious Yankee team.

Cashman should look into trading for Ryan Ludwick of the Cardinals. He's a OFer who isn't afraid of walls, in his early 30s, an all-star this year, and hits for power. the only downside is, strikes out a bit too much. 73 ks out of 298 abs in 87 games. I also read somewhere that the Cardinals are planning to trade him too since they are looking for a pitcher, 2b, and SS.

This is exactly the type of Weekend-at-Bernie's type statement that does not fool anybody. Please let the Boss live in peace without putting words into his mouth.

I agree with big stein. That was the best game I have ever been to. From what I could see in the stands, he didnt look too good. Does anyone know what his current state of mind is at? It looked as if he was just out there, in some sort of dementia state. I hope I am wrong. It was great to see him there along with the countless number of other hall of famers.

What “type” of players are those? Several of them won’t be available in any kind of realistic situation, and a bunch of the rest suck.

They see pitches and lure pitchers into mistakes. Some have good OBP % others battle you for that basehit another words, tough outs.

Fox has a really bad habit of cutting into games from commercials as the pitcher releases his first pitch of the inning. I remember the Aaron Boone home run in 2003. Fox came jarringly close to missing that. I don't know if I'm looking at the past with rose-colored glasses but I'm all about the Phil Rizzuto/Bill White days at WPIX and on national TV, the Vin Scully/Joe Garagiola days on NBC.

But I believe that Joe Buck thought that Big Stein deserves a spot on the Hall of Fame. Not many franchises, let alone individual owners, bring Six World Championships to their team. Sure George made some pretty dumb decisions during his Yankees reign- spying on Dave Winfield and bringing in Ken Phelps/Ed Whitson/Carl Pavano but the game is more popular and profitable than it was in 1972.

Man listening to his WFAN stream cuts Micheal Young would so fit on this team. At LF, RF or 2B or SS(oops).

The type of players I would look into

1. Micheal Young
2. Brian Giles
3. Casey Blake
4. Josh Willingham
5. Jason Werth
6. Ryan Freel
7. David Dejesus
8. Jeff Francoeur
9. Raul Ibanez
10.Mark DeRosa
