Here we go again...are you SERIOUS? I guess the Yankke brass is once again trying to capture lightning-in-a-bottle like they did with David Justice years back...at least we will be getting this has-been at the league minimum. It would be far better for me if the core-players of this group didn't take every game so damn lightly...the Rays, although losing a bunch going into the break, are still a formidable opponent going into the 2nd half...seems we can't beat them consistently! What pisses me off is this team can win...but there is ALWAYS something missing...it CERTAINLY isn't Sexson's bat! Pettitte put it best...We STINK right now! I wouldn't fraz out unless I've been a fan for a long, long time...the 60's to be exact!

2005 - 2007: .258 .374 .507 0.881

If Cardenas is their best prospect that's the worst minor league system in the history of baseball. He's a .309 hitter in single-A with good speed. The other guys are marginal prospects. Cardenas is the best prospect of the bunch, but decent hitting second basemen are not the toughest things on earth to find.

Trust me -- as a Mariners fan -- the Yankees are NOT upgrading their bench or their defense at 1B. He's more of a statue at 1B than Giambi is; ARod, Jeter and Cano are going to HATE this move.

And as far as being that coveted RH bat that's going to "rake"? Hahahaha. All any decent pitcher -- LH or RH, it doesn't matter -- has to do is pitch him on the black.

The VERTICAL part of the strike zone for Richie Sexson is taken care of by the umpires -- they NEVER get it right, they've been calling a lot of strikes on pitches at his knees (which are at least 4-5 inches higher in the strike zone than most hitters), and even HE doesn't know where the top part of his own strike zone is, let along the umpire.

I'll probably be watching a lot more Yankees games via GameDay from now on. I'd like to see how many Yankee fan complaints about umpires' calls get logged when Richie Sexson is at bat.

Wow 230 innings thats impressive I still think Blanton is mediocre. I cant believe the Haren, Harden, Blanton trio is gone already Beane is true to form.

Phillies gave up Cardenas, Outman and Spencer. I think Cardenas is like their best prospect or one of their best...and they gave him up for Blanton
