YANKEES (58-46)
Damon DH
Jeter SS
Abreu RF
Rodriguez 3B
Giambi 1B
Cano 2B
Nady LF
Cabrera CF
Molina C
Mussina RHP

Mike Mussina (13-6, 3.26) vs. the Baltimore hitters.

Jeremy Guthrie (6-8, 3.58) vs. the New York hitters.

Notes: Thanks to Brian Heyman for calling in the lineup. … I am not working today and will be attending the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band show at Giants Stadium. So this will be the extent of your updates. … The Yankees have won 10 straight at home. … The Moose is seeking his 264th career win. He is 10-7, 4.64 against the Orioles in his career. … Yankee relievers have allowed 6 ER in 26.2 innings since the break.

TRADE TALK: The Yankees remain the lone team interested in Jarrod Washburn. Seattle thinks it has some leverage as a result, which is a bit comical. Their benefit is lopping $14 million off their payroll, which they can use on other players. As a result, they aren’t getting Brett Gardner. I suspect they will realize this soon enough. If not, Phil Hughes starts his rehab tomorrow and Ian Kennedy has been pitching well or you go get somebody else.

Enjoy the game.
