Very classy. You realyy can't criticize Bernie or the Yankees regarding him being at OTD when you don't know what happened behind the scenes. Also, remember Bernie was not the perfect Yankee. I don't know why but he hit the my most memorable home run in Yankee history. It was a big late season season game against Toronto in the 80's when they were competing for the NL East crown. He annihilated the ball into the upper deck and the way he swung and looked at the ball just reminded me of how it might have been to watch Ruth knock one out. Ron Hassey should be there. He is a talented musician- why can't he perform pre-game, either for a regular season game towards the end of the year, or if it looks like we'll make the playoffs, then for a playoff game. It would give the fans to really show Bernie some appreciation for the last time in a stadium where he helped provide us with amazing memories. Like Steve "Bye Bye" Balboni. I used to play softball on the same team as my father in the 80's. My dad had tremendous power, but was pretty out of shape. He hit a lot of homers, but was slow running the bases. Anything that stayed in the park was an out. Hence, we called him our own Bye Bye Balboni!
