I like how Kennedy handled the media. It's true that a few of the hits were just part of variance, and he could do nothing about it. I'm positive that veterans such as Pettitte, Mussina, etc. have given answers just like Kennedy, yet because he is the kid who hasn't proved anything at the big league level, his replies are viewed as arrogance instead of realistic. Give the kid some time. Sure, it may be getting late this year, but moving Kennedy in the right direction, and not damaging his confidence is just as important as anything right now. He could be a huge part of this team for a decade to come - his track record has shown that he has as as good a chance (if not better) than anyone in the Yankees system of becoming a solid major league pitcher. A few answers that reporters (lol) don't want to hear shouldn't change his path.

What can make anybody believe that A-Rod at the age of 33 will suddenly for the first time in his career become a clutch hitter and give himself up for at bats to advance a runner or do less swinging with the home run in mind ?
If the truth be known, the Steinbrenners basically got him to put a$$es in seats and crossed their fingers that rings would follow.

The whole pen went downhill after Rivera came in and lost a tie game last week. Overuse, hitters adjusted to them, who cares.

The amazing thing is we're in the race, how I don't know. With our remaining schedule there is only one series I see that we can definitely win, and that's a 3 game series against the Mariners over Labor Day.

I don't want to see any of our FA's back. I don't care that Abreu hits .295 with RISP- he doesn't do it when it counts 0 for 5 today!

Mussina has been great, but since he's not a knuckleball pitcher, I see him starting to fade.

Blaming the bullpen on I-Rod is ridiculous. He's the one FA I'd like resigned for a year as insurance to Posada not being able to throw, playing at the catching position.

Giambi 23.5M gone. Abreu 16M gone. Pettitte 16M gone.
Mussina 11M gone. Pavano 12+M gone. Farnsworth and his 5.5M already gone. Marte 6M club option gone, unless we can work out a 2 year reasonable deal. Trade Matsui and his aging body and 13M contract. Let's see that's 103M and change. Even consider trading Cano's bloated contract if a Chad Billigsly type pitcher could be had. We can always find a 2nd baseman. Orlando Hudson is a FA. Goodbye Melky-you would only be needed as a defensive replacement.

Showcase your pitchers and pray that they pitch well enough to be included in trades for good young athletic position players.

This loss today tops them all so far in my short memory!!

Most teams would take Jeter in a salary dump. We can get some real nice prospects for ARod. Dodgers. Angels. Tigers. A lot of teams.

Alex Rodriguez couldn't make a pimple on Don Mattingly's ass.

He should have never left Texas. He simply cannot handle the pressures of New York.

And I will be willing to lay down odds that neither can Brett Favre.

There will be as much as a 50% turnover in player personnel before the first pitch is thrown at the new Yankee Stadium.
