Its a dumb comment, but where it comes from is the attitude we make atheletes portrey these days. Everything must always be ok, all oppenants are ruthian, and we work 1 day at a time.

I’m not upset with how Kennedy pitched, either. I wasn’t able to view the game, but I listened to it with MLB gameday on, and the pitches he threw were mostly fine. He can’t control the results. There were 3 or 4 bloops that were not caught, a squibber to short, and more I am forgetting.

The location, velocity and movement all looked good in the data. There were some poor-ish pitches in there, but as a person that often “watches” a game this way, it was pretty common grouping. No walks, no home runs–it’s hard to be pitching truly bad without either. There was a good deal of bad luck involved. If he pitches exactly the same way against a team with less contact ability (ie MN), he might go 9 innings with 2 hits (instead of the other way around).

He needs to be sent on the next flight back to AAA! Either Kennedy is delusional or he just doesn’t give a hooping funt! I wish we had more guys like Pettitte who care almost too much. These idiot statements really makes me miss Tino and Paulie.

The Yankees didn’t get Johan Santana because they weren’t willing to commit the money and years on his contract.

Not because they wouldn’t trade Ian Kennedy and Melky Cabrera.

You can forgive a young pitcher’s bad performance If they show promise to do better. But, you can’t forgived arrogance and lack of heart after a bad performance. Let him raise his stock in tripple A then trade the pansie.

is anybody saying that? iâ€™ve missed a few posts. Iâ€™M saying hughes-kennedy-melky for santana doesnâ€™t look so one-sided at this point considering hughes has yet to pan out (still hope) and kennedy and cabrera have been downright putrid this year.

Pretty sure it was hughes, kennedy, melky and austin jackson. That is just too much. By the way, the Yankees record is still better than the Mets and they are also in 3rd place, so i guess Santana didnt save them afterall.
