Blog contest: Win free aquarium tickets and a hotel stay in Baltimore next weekend

That took 120 seconds. We have a winner! Please, no more entries.

atlanticbottlenosedolphin.jpgOur friends at the National Aquarium in Baltimore know that a lot of Yankee fans attend the games in Baltimore. If you’re headed down for the series next weekend, we have a great prize for you.

Be the first person to answer two trivia questions correctly and you’ll win a family four-pack of tickets to the Aquarium and a free one-night stay at one of the Harbor Magic Hotels

To win, you must be the first person to e-mail me the correct answer. There is no second prize. The winner will deal directly with the Aquarium from there.

Question 1: In July, this blog had a quote from the Executive Director of the American Mustache Institute regarding Jason Giambi’s All-Star campaign. Who is that and what day did the post run?

Question 2: Where is the Giant Pacific Octopus located at the Aquarium?

The National Aquarium in Baltimore (501 East Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland, 21202) was rated #1 for all Baltimore things to do and is a favorite attraction among visitors to the area. Home to over 16,000 animals, the Aquarium features habitats from around the world including Animal Planet Australia: Wild Extremes, an exciting dolphin show and a new 4-D Immersion Theater. The Aquarium’s location in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, which is in walking distance to the stadium, makes it easy to plan a visit before or after a game.

Harbor Magic Hotels consist of three unique boutique hotels located in and around Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor. Each is delightfully different, yet all three are centered on delivering exceptional personalized visits that let you experience Baltimore as few others can. Call 866-583-4162.

Here are the official rules.

  5. mel

Gosh. I would try, but by the time I get through the rules and terms 10 people would’ve beat me.

  6. pat

I can’t go but I’ll help someone else

The ’stache guys name is aaron perlut and the post should probably be the first day of the Rangers series.

  7. Rebecca--Optimist Prime

I’d try but I have grad school orientation that weekend!

And yeah, that sounds way too intimidating.

  8. S.A.-Can the Yanks win some games? Starting today? This offense is still offensive.

    Holy long post batman

  9. pat

  12. fred from jersey

youre having a question contest? you have heard of the internet havent you? google?

  13. Rob Andrews

Melky Rocks! keep him in the majors best hitter on team. Bat him 3rd. Richie Sexson should try batting lefty that way he could hit righties! I heard chase wright is hitting well in single a call him up for a-rod

  14. mel

Sorry to keep picking at the scab, but the more I think about it, the more I think that the leak yesterday was a negotiating tactic.

Of course school is important, I’d be the first to say that. But I don’t think that Cole is going to UCLA to study TIM or sociology or economics or whatever. His goal in life is to be a professional ball player. The sooner you get in the system the sooner you can make the majors.

Especially with the Yankees who are putting a premium on good young pitchers. There’s an excellent chance that you can be on the fast track like Joba, Hughes, or Kennedy if you work and have the goods.

Just as in football, baseball teams want a return on their investment. Especially with bonuses reaching the $5M+ range. They want that ROI sooner rather than later.

  15. Rocco

See you guys in Baltimore (I live there). I’ll be at all 3 games then come say hi at Pickles afterwords :)

  16. Jimmy27

    Rocco
    where is Pickles?
Is there any other inside info you can give me – my first time in charm city. Where are the best crabcakes?
    Thanks!

  17. Rocco

Pickles is across the st from the staduim on the left field side. You cant miss it. They close off the street and let you drink outside before and after the games.

Federal Hill is fun. Lots of laid back bars good food etc.

The Harbor is touristy but fun to go to if you’ve never been here.

  18. Robbie Cano

I’d enter this contest but I don’t think It would look cool

  19. Jimmy27

Thanks Rocco – what about Fells Pt.?

  20. Skippy

I’m so sorry I missed this! I’ve never been to Camden Yards. I haven’t even been to a game at all this season, and it’s looking less and less likely. Sigh.

  21. saucY

the aquarium is to the oriole’s as the r&rhof is to the indians…

  22. marc centrella
