i wouldnt expect gaudy rbi numbers as he is a table setter. i would expect to see the number of runs scored rising. i could see pedroia as a .330 hitter in the future. the .342 is impressive, and from the looks of canos career so far, it doesnt look like a BA Cano is likely to reproduce without making the adjustments his is too stubborn to attempt.

he whines more than the average player, although he does have a great understanding of the strike zone and the whines are usually for borderline strike calls. i dont see how he’s a punk as he has never seemed to cause any trouble throughout his entire career. i hope you arent calling him a punk becasue he took exception to a certain couple of fastballs to his head? and with all due respect to his teammates, as a fan, id take a helmet slamming player who cares over a disinterested check casher any day of the week. i fail to see this type of behavior as self centered…

I think Pedroia is a terrific player. He’s improved each year. Only a fool would judge Cano on this season alone. Last year he drove in 97 runs and the year before that he hit .342. Both are marks Pedroia hasnt come close to.

I also have a lot of respect for Mike Lowell. He plays the game right. It’s hard not to repect Ortiz too.

Varitek is obviously over the hill. Youkalis, Papelbon and and Crisp are flat out punks.

At this point you need to maximize your offense above all else.

You take the defensive hit to do it.

Damon is gonna give them more runs at the plate than he costs them in the field.

Damon and Matsui in a batting order are a lesser evil than any batting order with Brett Gardner in it.

Me ofcourse I do !I’m just thinking Damon in CF and the Toronto hitters aiming for CF on thier swings especially w/ the turf. See you think Toronto sucks that’s the problem, they don’t. Especially now w/ Halliday and Burnett clicking and Wells and Rios in the same lineup healthy.
