saucy - thank you for saying that! That really means a lot to me. And I have to tell you that you bring a smile to my lips every time I read one of your posts leveling the Sux! I feel like we're kindred spirits.

Trisha -- Thanks for the welcome!

I hate the Sox just as much as you guys do. I am an equal opportunity hater (we do that in Canada) because I dislike the Yanks (and the Orioles) just as much. I should hate the Rays, but it's kind of tough right now.

Cito is a great manager because he gets the best out of his players. He has a proven record of being able to say the right thing to a player and get the most out of him. That being said, he is a terrible strategist. Some of the moves he makes drives us nuts. Second guessing Cito has been a sport in Toronto since 1989. Just because the winning run is at third and John McDonald is batting with a .210 average, don't always expect a pinch hitter. His bullpen management is also questionable. One thing we miss about Gibbons is his management of the bullpen.

This is going to be a great series because both of our teams have the dilusion that they must sweep this series to get into the playoff hunt. This is really a battle for third place. Should be fun!

Will the extra BP help Betemit. Will he strike out better today as a result? I'm just wondering.

The Olympics get rid of baseball and softball for the 2012 Olympics and they keep an activity like trampoline? When does Wii become an Olympic sport? That can be a workout.

Great update, Pete. With Hideki back and everyone in the lineup now on fire, things are motion to win the division.

Devil Dogs & Sawx are on the downswing with all of their injuries and tough schedule. We get Joba and Hughes back next 10 days or so.

Let's keep things rolling tonight by pounding on Burnett.

i think Wang may have said something similar when he hurt his foot this year...

"This possibility cannot yet be ruled out. Regardless of Brian Cashman’s assertions to the contrary, the biggest thing Pavano has lacked since becoming a Yankee is not health but motivation. He didn’t want to pitch for the Yankees, didn’t want to be in New York. He regretted the deal within months of signing it and was making noise about wanting a trade during its first season. All he wanted to do was hang out in Florida, sleep in and go to bars. And for nearly four years, that is, in fact, all he’s done."

Somehow this excerpt made me hate Idle even more. Wouldn't we all like to make 40 million, sleep til 4 PM and go hang out at the bar all night. However you are a major league ball player and until you retire your main focus should be playing the game. This guy doesn't deserve to wear the uniform.
