if you want to compare the Beatles to Bruce springsteen, you are nuts.

Both are in the rock and roll hall of fame, as are a ton of artists. But you know why there isn’t all that much Beatle stuff there, in the R&RHOF museum? Because it’s in the Smithsonian.

I’m a huge Springsteen fan. I like the Beatles, but I’m iffy on McCartney’s solo work.

That said, this is Yankee Stadium we’re talking about. The answer is both of them, and add Paul Simon while we’re at it.

No one person can “close” Yankee Stadium.

McCartney went into the R & R Hall as a Beatle years ago. Comparing his and Bruce’s inudctions is ignorant. I love both of them for significantly different reasons.

I posted this before, but it seems like some of you need to attend a music appreciation/history class.

People know the catchy stuff, but Springsteen has been putting out prolific music for nearly 40 years. His songbook spans rock, pop, soul, country, and folk. He is also one of the most respected musicians amongst other musicians. Everyone from Johnny Cash to Rage Against the Machine has covered his songs.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame voters consist of musicians, Rock historians, critics, producers, industry executives, etc….

Springsteen and McCartney were inducted in the same year. Bruce was a first ballot inductee, however, it took McCartney a number of years before getting in.

There’s no need to even discuss who the better live performer is.

McCartney recently played a free concert on the Plains of Abraham for the 400th anniversary of Quebec City. I was one of 200,000 attendees. It was incredible.
