The two best quotes of the night

Peter Abraham
August
23

Carl Pavano: “This is what I get paid to do, obviously. This is what I live for. This is all I really know, to go out there every fifth day and do my job.”

Pudge Rodriguez: “Remember, it’s only one start. We need to see how he feels tomorrow.”

What could I possibly add to that? Thanks for reading and check back tomorrow. It’ll be Darrell Rasner against Daniel Cabrera as the Yankees try and sweep the series.

Cabrerra on the mound? I hope A-Rod is wearing plate mail!

  2. RSM

Pete, did anyone laugh when Pavano said that?

  3. Pokey

As much as I wish the fires of Hades on Pavano, I have to give him some credit. While he struggled, he never let the game get away from him and limited the damage.

  4. Nick in SF

The Yankees already won the series, Pete. Now they go for the sweep!

  5. Confucius

The first quote made me taste vomit. The second made me laugh.

  6. jennifer

” This is what I get paid to do”. funny coming from a guy who hasn’t pitched in ages.

  7. mel-go, go, Waipio!

    Check. Check mate.

Dude is clueless. Doesn’t he know that he and $$’s a sensitive topic in the clubhouse?

  8. PreteFunkEra

    Pavano plays today
    He wins today
    Dat’s it

  9. manny(yanks fan)

lol at pudge..he knows whats going on..

  10. DFox

What did he say wrong? In the post game interview he said EVERYTHING right.

“This is what I get paid to do” Which is the truth…

“This is what I live for. This is all I really know, to go out there every fifth day and do my job.”

He did know that before got injured… I’m sure he would have been out there every fifth day if he hadn’t had injuries. I’m not sure what’s so unbelievable about his quotes.

  11. Net Outcome

Pavano showed a lot of guts by coming back and pitching after his unfortunate terrible injuries. He could have just shut it down and collected his money but he realized the severity of our situation and knew he could help our patchwork rotation.

For his courage alone, he deserves atleast a ST invite next year along with Ponson.

  12. DarrinS

    Cabrera tomorrow?

Hopefully the Yanks can get a hit or two.

  13. pat

I saw the postgame and he was serious when he said it to.

  14. Brandon ( Can Pavano get a W before the 2 youngers ?)

    Pudge

  15. jane2

Cabrera’s always tough on the Yanks. Hopefully, the bats can stay alive.

  16. DFox

“Cabrera’s always tough on the Yanks. Hopefully, the bats can stay alive.”

True. The only reason I think they have a great chance tomorrow is because until tonight, Guthrie has ALWAYS been very tough on them. But they handled him tonight, and you would hope they do the same with Cabrera. Plus, Guthrie’s a better pitcher than Cabrera.

  17. Nick in SF

Fantastic catch by Toriiii “Spelling” Hunter.

    Come on Angels!

  18. ITALIANO!!!!!

People need to grow up with the Pavano nonsene…

Be happy he is back and looked good.. He got stronger and had one tough inning…. Who cares about the past be happy he looked solid enough to have some confidense down the stretch…

  19. Nick in SF

Another reason to think the Yanks have a great chance tomorrow is we have feakin’ Godzilla back and he’s on a rampage with his buddy the X-Man.

  20. kd

maybe carl thinks it’s opposite day, and says the dumbest thing in the world and thinks he’ll come off smelling like roses

  21. pat

Here’s what a few scouts had to say about Carl’s performance:

The report from one scout in attendance: “Good job, stayed away from the middle (of the plate), executed pitches, competed.”

From another: “He pitched well. Worked in and out with (his fastball) and used the (split-finger) effectively. He got into a rhythm as the game progressed. Good job.”

Pavano must live in dog years if he thinks he goes out every 5th day.

  23. RhapsodyInBlue

Broom day tomorrow, there’s no doubt in my mind.

    GO BOMBERS!!!!!!!!!

  24. Yankees Fan

5 back with 33 to go. Doable.

  26. jane2

Good points re Guthrie and Matsui…Alright, optimism and hope.

  27. S.A.-Can the Yanks win a series? Please? This offense is still offensive.

This is what I get paid to do, obviously.

Yes Carl. But it would have been nice if you would have been able to “do what you were getting paid to do” for the past few years

  28. Wait. Worry. Who Cares.

If the Yankees had let him have his surgery sooner, he would have come back to help the team back in July.

  29. Nick in SF

Or he would have been on this his next injury by now.

    The timing is tricky.

  30. dan 771

    Phil Coke has a 2.31 ERA as a reliever. 15 Ks, 3 walks in 11.2 innings with a 1.18 GO/AO.

  31. Nick in SF

    Angels win.

Twins are .5 games up in the Central, 6 games ahead of us in the loss column.

We are 5 in the loss column behind the Red and White Soxes.

    Progress.

  32. jennifer

Problem is Carl took so long to find a surgeon willing to do the surgery.

  33. GreenBeret7

Jesus…give it a rest. Pavano came out and got the win by outpitching Guthrie, when few if any gave him a snowball’s chance in Hell. His last start in Minnesota in April of 2007 was also a great start. As long as he wins, or, gives the team a chance to win, I don’t care what he says.

Of course, PA didn’t post the other things he had to say…which was that he needed to be better at getting the first pitch to the batter over and down and use his fastball more. He admitted to getting lucky that he was bailed out on the Rodriguez and Cano plays. . Like him or not, he can help this team, and, they need him. He wasn’t patting himself on the back. He also said that he has to go deeper in the games, because 90 pitches in 5 innings was unacceptable.

  34. Jeff NJ: Let Joba Play!

Anyone want to argue that tomorrow is a house money game?

  35. Dee

Yes we won! I just watched a bit of the game and the postgame. Did anyone also catch when someone asked Pavano how he prepared for the game today, he said it was just like any other start, he just had his normal start day routine :-)

  36. PreteFunkEra

“Anyone want to argue that tomorrow is a house money game?”

    Oh no…..not this argument again

  37. MoBoy(aka McLovin)

People keep talking about Pavano surgery and how long he took to get it.

But I say if he took some of Pettitte HGH,Pavano would have won 10 games by now.

Pavano might have been a bad investment. But hey he ain’t a bad guy at least he isn’t Kennedy after he’s game.

  38. GreenBeret7

Jennifer, no orthopedic surgeon is going to do that surgery if it wasn’t needed…and, especially James Andrews. It took time to see the damage. Nobody has that type of surgery without needing it, and, he’s back sooner than most pitchers have been…see Humberto Sanchez, who still isn’t quite right, although he’s finally pitching, even though, at age 25, it’s in the GCL.

  39. For $13 I'll be a Macadamia Nut

It was a fast recovery for him this go around. Yes, there are a lot of injuries that he has gone through, but it is still pretty good that he is back this soon after Tommy John.

He was shakey at first, but seemed to get more on his game as he went.

If he can help keep the Yankees in the game, then he is useful.

  40. Bill Porter

There is no way Pavano could be so lacking in self awareness as to say that. No way. Either that or he is the funniest man in America.

  41. GreenBeret7

Give it a rest McMuffinBoy. Your Mets aren’t clean…not by a long shot. I hear that they still have some left over coke from the Hernandez, Strawberry and Gooden days.

  42. GreenBeret7

$13, the complaints will start again when he goes through that dead arm period that he’s going to have. Hopefully, it skips him, but, it sems to have bitten Hughes. Hughes should be back to his normal, pre-injury self by his next start, though.

  43. GreenBeret7

    ***seems***

  44. TKinDC

“But I say if he took some of Pettitte HGH,Pavano would have won 10 games by now.”

I am trying to remember a more pointless post. If my aunt had . . .

  45. Nick in SF

“at least he isn’t Kennedy after he’s game.”

How would we know? Kennedy hasn’t won a game this year.

Also, the masculine possessive is “his” not “he’s”, which is a contraction of “he is”.

  46. luis

“This is what I get paid to do, obviously. This is what I live for. This is all I really know, to go out there every fifth day and do my job.”

rofl u made my day pavano

  47. JoeT 28 in 09!! I WILL BE RIGHT ABOUT PAVANO!! 5-0 down the stretch

he made my day too – YANKEES WIN… quote is hilarious though

  48. For $13 I'll be a Macadamia Nut

GB… you ride it for as long as you can, then call the next replacement. However the Yankees can get decent starts. I agree he will go through the dead arm period.

He was also showing some rust, no duh, which might take some work to shake off, but I was impressed he stayed in to finish the inning.

  49. Brandon ( Can Pavano get a W before the 2 youngers ?)

Mr.Glass Butt is a hoot. Moose must have trained him in press quotes this year.

  50. GreenBeret7

$13, I thought that West didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt on quite a few pitches that looked closer than some of Guthrie’s. Not exactly squeezing him, but, no breaks, either. It didn’t cost him in walks, but, at least early, it cost him in number of pitches. The Friday game that he’s scheduled to pitch should be interesting…at least in seeing how his control/command is.

  51. TKinDC

Victor ‘Don’t call me Carlos’ Zambrano was dealing tonight:

    Zambrano (W, 2-0) 7.0 3 1 1 1 6 1 0.75

3 hits over 7 innings? Let’s trade him back for Kazmir! :)

  52. DFox

I think I’m missing the huge joke in what Pavano said. I don’t see anything funny about it. He was stating that tonight is what he gets paid to do, obviously inferring that he’s well aware he wasn’t earning his money. What would you have rather him say? It was nice of me to go out there and work tonight? Some of you just like to make something out of nothing. There isn’t anything funny about his quotes.

“Another reason to think the Yanks have a great chance tomorrow is we have feakin’ Godzilla back and he’s on a rampage with his buddy the X-Man.”

    Sounds like an AWESOME movie.

  53. IT'S MADONNA'S FAULT

I’M TELLING YOU PAVANO IS A GOOD PITCHE, HE IS JUST OUT OF LUCK WITH INJURIES, BUT THE GUY KNOWS HOW TO PITCH.

  54. IT'S MADONNA'S FAULT

    YEAH GODZILLA AND X-MEN!!!1

  55. GreenBeret7

I was more amazed that Girardi left him in than the fact that Pavano wanted to stay in. That has to help him with his team mates. He could have told Girardi that he was gassed, and, he clearly was. He left everything out there in the 5th inning. Give him credit…He had two innings that he could have caved in (1st and 2nd innings). I wonder if Mussina is still trying to work with him to feel more a part of the team. I know he was about the only one talking to him at the start of 2007.

  56. GreenBeret7

TK, I’m not sure that the Yanks could even get Mrs. Kazmir for him.

  57. TKinDC

“to go out there every fifth day and do my job.”

DFox – Pavano hasn’t gone out every 5th day, or 50th day or 250th day.

I think this is irony – yah I really do think.

  58. TKinDC

“TK, I’m not sure that the Yanks could even get Mrs. Kazmir for him.”

Does she look anything like Mrs. Benson? :P

  59. Brandon ( Can Pavano get a W before the 2 youngers ?)

    Chad Jennings on Chase Wright:

High 80s two-seam fastball, very good changeup and an improving curveball that he’s using more and more to both sides of the plate, letting him get right-handers but mostly helping him against lefties.

Location is the key for Wright. When he keeps the ball down in the zone, his sinker and changeup have enough movement to induce loads of groundballs. And that’s what he’s doing start after start here in Scranton.

    Mike Ashmore on Victor Zambrano:

“That was a pretty good performance from Zambrano, he’s got to be the story tonight,” Franklin said.

“He was really good tonight. I’m hoping the younger guys watched him pitch, because that’s how you pitch in the big leagues.”

Zambrano threw 59 of his 87 pitches for strikes, using an array of fastballs with a healthy dose of changeups mixed in, and some sliders reserved for the second time around the Reading lineup.

“I feel pretty good. It’s been a lot of work to get to this point, but I feel pretty good about it and about myself,” Zambrano said.

“The most important thing is that every pitch I threw, I felt like it was a very strong pitch. I had good location, that’s pretty much what I was looking for.”

Francisco Cervelli, who caught both Carl Pavano and Zambrano here in Trenton, was also impressed by the outing.

“I think he was outstanding,” Cervelli said.

“Outstanding fastballs, breaking pitches, everything I think was good. Those kind of guys always have a game plan. Last week, when he was throwing, the split was all right. But today, every pitch was good. He hit the glove, and got a lot of ground balls.”

Cervelli went into detail about the main difference between Pavano and Zambrano.

    “Speed,” he said.

“Pavano has a strikeout changeup and he has a strikeout slider, but both of those guys were good. I think he’s ready to do something (in New York) to help the team.”

Zambrano was sitting at 88-91 MPH on the gun. Was using a lot of changeups. – via M.Ashmore

  60. IT'S MADONNA'S FAULT

I KNOW PEOPLE WANTS PAVANO OUT OF HERE IN A JET, BUT I THINK THAT IS NOT FAIR, WAIT FOR HIM, AND GET HIM READY FOR ANOTHER TEAM.

  61. DFox

“DFox – Pavano hasn’t gone out every 5th day, or 50th day or 250th day.

I think this is irony – yah I really do think.”

He’s not saying that’s what he has done… All he’s saying is that before he got injured, that’s all he knew, pitching every 5 days, which is 100% true. Just look at his game logs from before he became a Yankee.

  62. mel-go, go, Waipio!

No one’s reading into what he’s saying. It’s just ironic, that’s all.

One thing that we’ve learned from Pavano’s comments over the years, is that Pavano’s not always clued in to what’s going on around him.

He should’ve just said, “It felt good to be out there again. I want to thank the guys for helping me out. They had some big hits and made some big plays.”

That being said, I’m sure that the team appreciates Carl’s efforts. Maybe they’ll treat him to some crab.

  63. GreenBeret7

Not sure, TK, but, I was talking about Scott kazmir’s mother.

  64. Dee

How can anyone not find his quote hilarious?

“This is what I get paid to do, obviously.”
No, that’s not obvious at all Carl. You got paid for 2 years without having to do “this”.

  65. DFox

“How can anyone not find his quote hilarious? ”

Wait, so what you’re saying is, you weren’t aware that Pavano gets paid to pitch? He was simply stating that this is what he gets paid to do. Why is that hilarious? I don’t see the irony, and I don’t see the humor. It’s just a statement of an obvious fact…

  66. mel-go, go, Waipio!

    Dee,

It’s hysterical, but some people don’t understand the difference between laughing at someone and laughing at someone.

  67. GreenBeret7

Mel, Pavano did say that. He said the hitters got him the runs and Rodriguez and Cano provided him with big defensive plays. He said that he’s got to get better on first pitch strikes and get deeper into the games, and, he wasn’t happy with 91 pitches in 5 innings, saying that it was unacceptable. He said that he was just happy to help get the team a win. Other than the two statements that PA quoted, he was pretty straight up about the help he got. What he said sounded odd, but, not sure that’s how he meant it. Like, Rodriguez, he’s not the most gifted public speaker and it seems as though his phrasings aren’t what he meant to say.

  68. PeteSimonetti

For everyone to know… Ivan Rodriguez’s comments Pete put up are only a small portion of what he said. Basically what Pete did is what a lot of writers do making what Ivan said into something that looks bad about Pavano…. THIS IS WHAT HE REALLY SAID.. PETE CUT A LOT OUT.. once again proving his hatred towards some Yankees and it seems Italians…

“He was calm, he was relaxed, he did great,” Rodriguez said. “To come back and get a win right away I think is very special.

“Remember, it’s only one start. We need to see first how he feels (today). But it’s very possible (he helps out). It’s very important to have him back. You never know, we can have another weapon the last month of the season.”

  69. DFox

“It’s hysterical, but some people don’t understand the difference between laughing at someone and laughing at someone.”

I hope someday some of you guys come down with injuries that don’t allow you to do your jobs for a while, and everyone you know questions your integrity and drive. And then, when you manage to work your way back, they still laugh at you.

  70. Nick in SF

DFox, what’s funny to us is the UNINTENTIONAL irony.

Pitching every 5 days is all he knows? Has he been in a mental coma for the last 4 years?

  71. steve

well wright dominated the same lineup that hughes got shelled by, so thats good.

he’s probably up after the playoffs

  72. mel-go, go, Waipio!

    DFox,

It’s ironic because he’s saying he gets paid to do it. As if we thought he was doing it for free.

It’s also ironic because got paid a lot of $$ for 20 starts over four years. That’s 4 months of work for some guys.

He’s a Yankee again, so we’re just having a little fun. The jokes will die off before you know it.

He took a huge step in the eyes of a lot of people.

  73. GreenBeret7

DFox, I’m not ging to go that far, because there is certainly reason to question some of his earlier injuries and dedication to returning. Perhaps he really was hurt, but, it got to be frustrating to need him to be pitching and he wasn’t. As long as he helps now and helps the team win games, I’ll support his efforts.

  74. GreenBeret7

It will be interesting to see if he’s willing to give the Yanks a discount to come back next year to pitch. Perhaps he has a conscience and comes back for a lower base salary and incentives, in order to get another contract after 2009.

  75. mel-go, go, Waipio!

    Green Beret,

Thanks. Those quotes didn’t make it into the Times recap. Like I said, I’m sure that the team appreciates it. You wonder why guys like Pavano, Matsuzaka, and Ponson get support while guys like Clemens, Santana, and Pettitte don’t? I think it’s a collective unconscience mental thing, “This guys going to give up some runs so we’ve really got to get after it.

Youkilis could be on the mound for all that Jeter cares. He just wants a win.

  76. Dee

“I hope someday some of you guys come down with injuries that don’t allow you to do your jobs for a while, and everyone you know questions your integrity and drive. And then, when you manage to work your way back, they still laugh at you.”

I pray to god your wish will come true. If someone decides to pay me $10,000,000 a year to suffer from a bruised fanny, then yes they should laugh at me. In fact they can spit at me if they want.

  77. DFox

“Pitching every 5 days is all he knows? Has he been in a mental coma for the last 4 years?”

Right, and that would make sense, but look at every other season before he became a Yankee. That WAS all he knew. He’s not lying. Just look at the game logs.

“It’s ironic because he’s saying he gets paid to do it. As if we thought he was doing it for free.”

Just watch the interview if you haven’t. I think most people here just read Pete’s quote, which is completely out of context. You have to be careful when reading stuff about a subject that someone has an agenda on.

The question was something in the shape of (from Kim Jones): What did it mean for you to be out here again? He was making a borderline apology with the answer. He was stating that it isn’t like a milestone for him, it’s simply what he gets paid to do.

  78. A-Rod sucks.

I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling the offense is going to mail it in tomorrow. It’s just how they do it.

  79. Brandon ( Can Pavano get a W before the 2 youngers ?)

I hope someday some of you guys come down with injuries that don’t allow you to do your jobs for a while, and everyone you know questions your integrity and drive. And then, when you manage to work your way back, they still laugh at you.

Dude your talking a guy who went on the DL more times then Jetes hits HR in a season. He took 6 weeks off because of a sore ass. What do you want us to say ?

  82. Nick in SF

DFox, let me get this staight: I am wrong for getting a chuckle out of the Pavano quote?

  83. mel-go, go, Waipio!

    Nick in SF,

Yes. If you’re Catholic, you need to go to confessional.

  84. george

well, Pavano did his job last night. it’s impressive that he’s come back so quickly from TJ surgery

  85. GreenBeret7

Mel, if you remember back a few years, Jarod Wright was getting a ton of run support and couldn’t get past the 5th inning on a good day and Mussina couldn’t buy a run. Some pitchers are like that. Wells always got run support and Cone always struggled to get them. Just one of those strange and wonderful things about baseball. Look at Peavey’s run support….pathetic. The Yanks have had pitchers with 20 win seasons and 4.00+ ERA and on the same team, have pitchers with losing records with ERAs under 3.00

  86. Nick in SF

I am not a Catholic, although I have enjoyed several Graham Greene novels.

  87. Since54

Can we assume Ian Kennedy is now doubling as Pavano’s speech writer?

  88. popcorn brady

Pavano has more wins than Hughes and Kennedy together, prospects who? Santana, Sabathia and Harden I badly miss you guys.

  89. mel-go, go, Waipio!

    Nick,

I don’t Graham Greene from Graham crackers.

    GB7,

Funny how things work. Like many things in life, the deservin go without…

  90. Yoooo

More like every 5th year. Pavano is a funny character I can see.

    GB7,

Funny how things work. Like many things in life, the deservin go without…

    ______________________________________________
Mel, I was going to cry about what I’m doing without tonight, but, figured that nobody else cared.

  94. Bombshell

LOL at Pudge, so true because god only knows what he’s gonna wake up with tomorrow. Ten big ones on him going on the DL with a bruised back after patting himself last night. Haha but seriously I’m just laughing for what we’ve had to endure over 4 years of his giant waste of money contract…I appreciate what he did tonight, he showed some guts and settled down after inning 2.

  95. Kevin

hey Abraham, pretty interesting you have Carl’s quote a little different than the AP. here’s yours:

Carl Pavano: “This is what I get paid to do, obviously. This is what I live for. This is all I really know, to go out there every fifth day and do my job.”

    here’s theres:

“It’s amazing. This is what I get paid to do, this is what I live for,” Pavano said. “This is all I really want, to go out there every fifth day and do my job.”

hate to break it to you, but there’s a big difference between “know” and “want”. when you use know, it puts a negative spin on it, poking fun at the guy because he HASN’T known that lately. if you have the correct quote and AP screwed up fine, but just an interesting note there.

  96. AZ Four

Doesn’t the offense always mail it in when Rasner pitches?

  97. DFox

“DFox, let me get this staight: I am wrong for getting a chuckle out of the Pavano quote?”

I mean if that’s what floats your boat, then why not? All I’m saying is I don’t believe people are actually laughing at what he said, more they just want SOMETHING to laugh at because they hate Pavano. Which I think is wrong, because I really don’t believe that he was faking injuries. I don’t see where that would get him. Now that he’s back, I think it’s time that people stop with all this stuff about him and insulting him.

  98. Peter Abraham

    Kevin:

AP is wrong. He said “know.”

New York Times agrees with me: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08.....ref=slogin

So does the Daily News: http://www.nydailynews.com/spo.....nths_.html

Hate to break it to you, but I don’t screw up quotes. I also have it on tape.

  99. Nick in SF

Ah, to be young and hyper-serious about the amusing quotes of professional athletes again…

I don’t hate Carl Pavano. I’m glad he was able to give the Yankees 5 innings without getting shelled. I hope he can repeat/improve upon his performance the next time out.

His quote made me laugh. His quote made a lot of people laugh, apparently. I can only speak for myself, but I was not grasping for something to laugh at regarding Carl.

The past cannot be changed. I will root for Carl every time he takes the mound, but I reserve the right to laugh at his checkered history until the the cows come home, at which time I expect them to laugh at his too. If he goes on to rebuild his career and have success somewhere, good for him — then the last laugh will be his.

In this case, I think you’re just off DFox. Finding the quote amusing is not evidence of irrational Pavano hatred. But if you want to comment on the Yankees in a Pavano-joke-free zone, this is probably not the blog for you.

it was a joke that Pavano said?

I just heard, that after reading several posts Pavano was placed on the DL with hurt feelings.

The next 33 games could very well change minds on Pavano. It is easy to question the dedication factor. I don’t ever remember the front office saying anything that would question the legitmacy of Carls injuries. Disappointment and frustration yes.
Given what it takes to ever put on a mlb uniform let alone stay in one then end up in a Yankee uniform belies lack of dedication. It is unfortunate for us and Carl that his career with NY has gone as it has.
Would be ironic if Carl gets his share of wins during regular season helping us to the wc. Even more ironic if he were to have a very solid post season. Stranger things have happened. Pardon me if I root long and hard for the dude every time he is on the hill. Have fun with the past if you wish. However the future remains to be seen and I for one prefer it to be bright. Go Carl.

  107. Martin

All this has been said before, but I’ll say it again.

While it is true that Carl hasn’t pitched much for the Yankees when they were hopeful that Carl would be a big contributor, I think that the amount of negativity surrounding Carl has been way out of proportion.

The $10 million per year that the Yankees got very little in return for did not destroy their payroll for the four years they’re paying him. It’s not like the payroll was at the level of the Marlins and the lack of return seriously handcuffed the Yankee’s ability to field a competitive team. Contrearas/Weaver/Vasquez/Johnson was much more costly with an equally less than expected return.

Carl gets blasted when he is really hurt (requiring Tommy John surgery), he gets blasted when fans think that he is faking injury and he isn’t tough enough to play through it, even though they have no idea what the extent of the injury really is (buttocks) and he also gets blasted when he tries to play through an injury but he can’t (rib – although it was not a baseball related injury). You can’t change your position back and forth just to dump on Carl.

How different is what’s happened to Carl from what’s been happening to Phil?

I agree that Carl has been a disappointment. That doesn’t automatically mean that he hasn’t been trying.

Sometimes things work out the way you want and sometimes they don’t. Welcome to life.

Hey, that almost qualified as a quality start! Maybe he’ll go six next time! What a guy!
