Mexico was favored, but collectively they couldn't control their nerves. It was also nice to see the Yankees and some of their players listed as favorites of the kids. One kid was up and they flashed "Favorite Player-Alex Rodriguez". This is really mean, but I'm yelling at the tv, "Don't channel your inner Alex!" Of course the bases were loaded and it was still a tight game at that point. I'm still glowing from all the good wins over the weekend. It sure was long, and not particularly well-played, but a win is a win. Great pitching by pen, thank goodness tomorrow is an off-day before the evil Red Sox. You know, despite everything, if we do manage a SWEEP - and don't be pessimistic, stranger things have happened - then we're only 2 behind, with 29 to play. Baseball is a strange game. You never know. But, to quote that famous baseball sage, Tug McGraw, "Ya gotta believe!"
