Wordpress don't like Donovan much?

Check out the article at SI. The Sox are in pretty bad shape, too. Ripe for the taking.

We're actually in better shape than the Sox from the way Donovan describes it.

I Havent seen anybody mention a scouting report on Joba when he was first drafted. The scout noted that he went low in the draft because other teams were worried about his conditioning and that he was injury prone.

Hhmmmm.

The only thing the Sox have over us is 5 games in the loss column. They're just as dissheveled as we are.

HaHa, Nick. I saw that. And the good thing is they used up a lot of pitching in the first game of the series.

5 GB in loss column to Boston
4 GB in loss column to Chicago
3 GB in loss column to Minnesota

To say that tomorrow's game is important is an understatement.

SJ44, everything you're saying makes total sense. Joba is an awesome young talent, and I'm glad to see the Yankees being as protective and conservative as they are with his rehab. As to the old-school objections and complaints about babying, two words: Mark Prior. And two more: Kerry Wood. The same people who want Joba to be thrown back into the thick of things without further delay would lose their minds altogether if he then ended up worsening the injury or needing shoulder surgery. Please.

If we don't get to see Joba again this year and if the Yankees miss the postseason, or get bounced out in the first round because they don't have enough pitching, that's bearable. But blowing out Joba's shoulder as a result of rushing him back would not be.
