um….a-rod was “thru” with us, then we got down on our hands and knees, went back on all the things we said for two weeks, and backed up the truck for him and boras. just trying to make sure we all remember correctly.

clutch may not be measured… many may not think it exists…

but as a sports fan, and i’m sure many of us played in college/high school… we know it does exist

some people are gamers… those same people seem to come through more often than not “in the clutch”… it exists because i see it in some players and not in others

i’d rather have jeter in the box when we need a hit than arod… stats may say i’m wrong, but even in jeter’s “down” year, i’d take him over arod

“arod is not clutch, that is known to me, and i’m not blaming him because he is what he is.”

That’s how I feel about Arod too. He is talented and he works hard, but he just doesn’t have enough heart or he’s missing something else that makes a good player a true champion. He may be an MVP, but he’s not a champion, at least not yet not anything I’ve seen.

I’m far from a fan of Arod, but I don’t blame him. I blame Hank for signing him for a decade. I hope Arod somehow manages to find his heart or his “it” or a better shrink or whatever it is that he needs soon. Because nine more years is a really long time and the worst thing than a divorce is growing old together and hating each other.

looks like a contender. if CC’s the answer for SP, what’s the answer for the bats? posada & matsui will defintely help. i’m also very impressed w/ nady. maybe a youngster will step up and replace giambi. marte has a cheap club option (considering the market)… there’s always next year..

“I don’t like it,” Rogers said after MLB announced Tuesday that instant replay will start being used this week. “I think that it overshot the mark by far just because, what, in a Yankee game someone didn’t get a homer? Please. It’s happened thousands of times. That’s part of the game. It’s the beauty of the game. Mistakes are made.”
