Upper 80's is no surprise if he used to be low 90's before all the injuries. And I'd expect any guy to need some time to get his finesse back too. Still, he should have won at least 60 games for the Yanks so far over his over 4 years here, not 6. Not to defend Pavano but objectively speaking … being out for so long you really can’t expect him to be 100% for a while. Upper 80′s is no surprise if he used to be low 90′s before all the injuries. And I’d expect any guy to need some time to get his finesse back too.

Still, he should have won at least 60 games for the Yanks so far over his over 4 years here, not 6.

But Bo knows is right.... they'd all prefer to keep their best heater for as long as possible.
