It just seems the funk that this team has been in this year is more powerful than any one player. I could be wrong but with the offense as anemic as it's been i don't think Santana would have been enough. I will wait a few years before i lament the fact this trade never came through. I still believe Hughes and Kennedy will redeem themselves given a fair opportunity to grow and develop. Would Santana have really gotten this team over the hump? He was named Pitcher of the year for Scranton/ Wilkesbarre and should be rewarded with a call up and maybe a few starts after the triple A season is over.
