Update on Dave Eiland

The Yankees pitching coach was in the clubhouse after the game and seemed fine.

According to Joe Girardi, Eiland has been fighting a cold then worked out this afternoon and didn’t have anything to eat afterward. Then the fight broke out and suddenly he passed out.

Eiland waved off any questions but Girardi said he would be back on the job tomorrow. So that’s good news.

And much more importnt than any game score.

    Thanks for the update.

Good news. ESPN recap said that someone’s hand “scraped” Eiland in the face during the scrum. Probably a little too much excitement for the old feller.

Good to know he’s feeling okay.

    Rebecca,

Kind of hoping that Eiland took one for the team. Faked it to deflect attention away from the awful performances today. :)

Glad to hear Eiland is okay.

Cold medication and adrenaline are probably not a good combo.

Why doesn’t girardi just say in the postgame news conf. we suck.. cano sucks, arod is a joke, and I hate this team???

    19 AB’s of 3 pitch’s or less, that is pathetic….

11 runs in the last 4 games against ; morrow, fierbrand, rowland smith, and garland… the yanks are definitely bringing there A game..

I watched the scrum again check arod out during it, it is laughable, this guy truly has no heart ……

Goodnight, ladies. Going to try and salvage some sleep. :)

this team is a laughing stock.

they are a joke… they are the joke of the league..

1 and 7( I think) against the angels so far with 2 to go…

the rays are disintegrating in front of us and the yanks are falling apart even worse… they need to be booed if they perform like this at home… they are stealing money, that is the bottom line…

they do need to sit Cano this is beyond a bad performance…

    Stuart,

    Wrong. They’ve gotten 2 wins.

I’d sit Abreu for that one botched play alone.

Don’t worry guys we’ll bake the Angels some “I’m sorry” brownies and makeup tomorrow.

Jeter will get the flower w/ his apron, Arod will mix the batter, Robi will lick the spoon, Giambi will bring the nuts since he doesn’t have any like the rest of these guys , Giese will seal it and protect it in a package since he specializes in preventing situations we’ll kiss and makeup. God knows we want to.

I fell asleep last night and missed all the “activities”. Good to know Eiland is alright

Seems that Stuart is the joke. And a bad one at that.

While I don’t like seeing this year’s team and the results, to come up with the crud that Stu does just shows an unbalanced mental makeup.

Eiland’s done a great job this year, especially considering all the injuries to our projected starting rotation. Glad to hear he’s OK.
