If the Mets win it all, I know I'd never hear the end of it from all the Mets fans I know, especially after rubbing it in so hard in 2000. They're still not over that. In the AL, I wouldn't mind seeing Tampa or Minnesota, but I'd be rooting for the Cubs and Brewers. It's hard to root for any NL West team because they all have close to losing records, but I wouldn't mind if the Dodgers won. I'd feel good for Torre, and truth be told if they were still in Brooklyn I probably would have grown up a Dodger fan like my grandma. I don't feel any of that old time rivalry with the Dodgers or Giants, but it's strong with the Mets. As it is, I'm rooting for the Phillies to knock off the Mets again. I've grown tolerant of Jerry Manuel, but I don't like the way they treated Willie and I am absolutely fed up with Omar Minaya. I got enough indication of what kind of man he is when I saw him have to try and recover the fumbling of the Willie situation in the media. terpbomber, the Yanks/Mets thing goes back a ways at this point too.
