Ok, first off the Jets stink, and will never win another Superbowl. I was a Jets fan up until a few years ago, and switched my alliegence to the Giants. I was sick of Herm, and his lousy on field coaching. I didn't stick around for the "Mangenius", who Belichick makes look like the "Manloseris" every chance he gets. I feel for Jets fans who still root for the team, like the poor guy in the construction helmet at every game, who's probably hammered out of his gord six hours before the game. I actually tuned into today's game, for laughs, after the BIG BLUE took the Rams out behind the woodshed and slapped the taste out of their mouths, and got to see Brett Farve age 10 years on the Jets sidelines. I mean, to lose to Tom Brady's caddy! And get run over by Lamont Jordan! Oh to be a Jets fan, just get the Cyanide out already! I know it's only two games, but it's the J-E-T-S!

And as far as the term Clubhouse Cancer goes, let's revise that for the people who might be offended, to Clubhouse Poison, or Clubhouse anti-socialite, or my favorite Clubhouse non-conformist.

As for Carl Pavano, he may not ahve any guts, but he's got a pair of brass balls to say the least.

Keith:

1. Calm down.

2. I've had a friendly back-and-forth with Jets fans over the years here.

3. Talking about football is an "a false sense of elitist views?" How is that exactly?

Seriously, bro, just calm down.

Pete,

When you bash a New York team by calling them "lowly" hours after a tough loss on a New York blog, expect a backlash. But hey, that's what you were looking for anyway so you could continue to express your false sense of elitist views.

Take some of your own advice and show some class.

P.S. I am a Giants fan, not Jets.

Randy I,

The implosion this season has been a bit of a shock. The symptoms we've seen over the last few years (poor situational hitting, aging players, sleeping thru April and May, etc) might have been a sign of things to come. What's the saying about chickens coming home to roost? I grew up in the 70s rooting for Reggie, Thurm, Nettles etc so I was just grateful for the team to make the postseason then. Those playoffs against KC (Brett's still one of the toughest outs I've ever seen) were always close and the Sox were damn tough too.
I think like many fans, I was overly optimistic about Hughes and Kennedy. I still like Hughes but Kennedy needs more time or a change of scenery or a greater attitude adjustment. I usually read the blog rather than post, but my last post was to trade Cano if the right deal can be swung. Not gonna get into it here as the usual posters (SJ, yourself, Whozat, Doreen, TK, Murphydog, CB [where'd he go??], Green Beret, nick in Sf) do a much better job at that than I do. I hope the Stein brothers really do read this blog and surround Cash with good baseball people and rehaul this team considerably.

interesting what you posted about your exchanges with Shaugnessy. I've read his column maybe a dozen times and he's always struck me as being impartial for a RS nation journalist. Maybe I've read him on his good days. Years back, a friend of mine from college who worked at the Globe confused him with Ryan. He was pretty ticked at that and walked off cursing under his breath.
