It's very exciting. It's like watching a birth. As sad as it is to thik about the old Stadium closing its doors, it also gives me chills to see pictures of the new Stadium. It looks gorgeous and I can't wait to go to a game there.

The new stadium looks amazing. I agree with SJ, i love the old stadiums, but its time for a new one in NY and this place will be an amazing place to see the game. It'll be sad on Sunday, but when I look across the street to see what's waiting next year, I'll be pretty darn happy. The old stadium was gone in 1971 anyway.

SJ,

I agree...1.3 billion dollars doesn't buy a cookie cutter stadium. In all its glory, the current stadium has its flaws and hopefully they have been addressed.

Tom,

Great Pearl Jam reference.

This isn't TnT right?

I wouldn't get your hopes up on Sabathia...doesn't sound like he is all that interested in playing in NY...then again, it could just be rumors.

The Angels are not going to be big players for CC. simply put, they don't need him. their starting pitching is not close to a problem, they just signed Hunter to a big deal and they might have to pony up for Vlad after 2009 when he is a free agent. Combine that with perhaps resigning Tex, and no, CC will not be an Angel. The Dodgers remain a possbility but the Yankees are going to be big players for him. They have as good a shot as any team, he will try to cash in big and no team can outbid New York. He has also said recently that he's not nearly as good a hitter now that he has to do it more often, and it seems like the hitting novelty might be wearing off for him a little bit. And I doubt Boston would be serious about signing him, maybe they will posture just to make the Yanks try to bid more but once again, SP is not a huge concern for them

I agree with Mr. Faded Glory's comment on the upper deck. Plus, the large upper deck makes YS feel like a STADIUM, as opposed to a ball park. I like the retro thing, but only when I go to another city or a minor league game.

Its not a cookie cutter retro stadium.

Have you been inside of it yet? Why not wait until you are before saying something that isn't true?

Mel,

I think Texas will be in the bidding. I don't know though if CC wants to go to a launching pad for the next 6+ years.

I think the Red Sox will be in the bidding bigtime for CC.

Again, I don't if he wants to play in Boston but, they will be in the bidding, IMO.
