Having said that, if Cashman returns it's unlikely there will be many changes,and most of the boys will be back. If we have a new GM, there's a good chance the changes will be considerable with a team structured to the liking of the "new guy", assuming it is someone from outside the organization. The restraints will be the requirement of fielding a competitive team for obvious reasons....stated otherwise, there will be no dramatic overhaul in "the interests of rebuilding". And I also know that even though the Sox had a number of injuries I think the injuries to Posada, Wang, and Chamberlain were really tough on the Yankees.
