He’s right about pitcher’s in the AL East. Case in point Carl Pavano. Burnett proved he can pitch in the AL this year, but I have a feeling he’s staying with Toronto. Cano isn’t getting traded. He still has alot of promise, and I think he’ll get straightened out by next year. The big questions are a starter at the top of the rotation, first base, and center. If Giambi & Abreu are gone you need protection in the lineup for Arod. A healthy Matsui & Posada will help, but imagine Texiera hitting behind Arod in the 5 hole? But yeah, you’ll see a guy like Pavano hook up with an NL team next year, and win 12-14 games if he’s healthy. That’s why the Yanks can probably pull off a deal for Igawa this winter. He dominated AAA, but can’t pitch in the AL, let alone the AL Beast. He would be well suited for a NL West team. The thing with CC is that he’s pitching great in the NL, and he is a solid AL pitcher. But he took his lumps in the AL last year, especially in the playoffs. I think he’s going to want to stay in the NL, where it’s safe.

Say what?? Mussina has averaged less than 6 innings per start this year. If he gets 20, he should be giving every member of the bullpen, that had to get him 9 outs per start, a tongue bath.

You’re right. But I meant all his wins were with the help of the bullpen. The other person had already pointed out that bullpen blew 3 of his games.

I can care less and it doesn’t make things any easier on Boston, but why 2 tomorrow? Why make up today’s game? Other games in baseball have been canceled at this point in the season with no makeup being played. Is it strictly for attendance? These games mean nothing…
