"I will never forgive Eric Byrnes for stupidly pushing Jason Varitek rather than touch home plate in Game 3 of the 2004 ALDS."

Wrong year. Byrnes failing to touch home plate was in 2003. Boston beat the Angels in the '04 ALDS

Red Sox = 2000-2003 Devils, the top organization in the sport, but not a dynasty.

1999-2007 Spurs = Dynasty
2000-2003 Lakers = Dynasty
1996-2000 Yankees = Dynasty
2001-2004 Patriots = Dynasty

All those teams had the same core for all their titles. There was too much turnover in the franchise to link the 04 and 06 titles.

Beckett, Matsuzaka, Papelbon, Pedroia, Youkallis, Lowell, Drew, Okijima, Delcarmen, Lester, Crisp, Ellsbury, Lugo etc. were not on the 04 staff. And now Manny and Schilling, 2 of the legends of October and key parts in both titles are now gone and not apart of this 2008 team.

They are just the best organization in the sport with the best decision makers and players. Not a dynasty though.

You convinced me!! You got my vote. Have a good night. Any other baseball game that doesnt involve the Yanks isnt baseball.

"How many players do they even have from 04 still? Varitek, Ortiz. Wakefield, and Francona. Anyone else really? 2 in a row would be a start even though its a WC season for them. But I wouldnt call it a dynasty. That implies some sort of good overall team. They havent had that. They are just a strong organization that has had some decent moves in the biggest bs ball park in the game."

Anyway, S.O.S., in fairness I should get to choose the point at which the Sux could be considered a dynasty. After all, I more than have the credentials to do so. First of all, I have a thorough disgust with, I mean familiarity with the Sux. I have been able to observe their longstanding mediocrity and accidental lucky seasons and I have been able to do so up close and with GREAT objectivity. Who better to decide when a team is a dynasty than someone who knows it will never happen? I mean at least you know you will get total objectivity with me where someone who is more faint of heart may be tempted to annoint too quickly.

You have to have impeccably high standards to be able to accurately crown a dynasty. I assure you that nothing less than six world series appearances in eight years, with at least four of the six bringing world series wins, would be acceptable in my estimation...

If you do vote for me to be dynasty decider, I promise to bring integrity and objectivity to the role. I won't let you down, and I certainly won't let any challenge to the Yankees as king of the dynasties be taken lightly.

Thank you!

Brett Myers has seen more pitches in his first 2 ABs than any other player in the postseason has. CC just can't put him away.
