Sorry GreenBeret7

I have been busy squeezing lemons at my lemonaide stand and then had to fire a few kids. Too many seeds in the juice. I was waiting to get that e mail address so I could send a few photos of my treasured Yankee memories but did not see it. If you like please visit the web site of my lemonaide stand and foward it to me ther. WWW.Pannullos.com. I will more more then happy to respond to your request for 'Proof of my Yankees loyalty" which now must be provided becuase I trashed Joe. Let me know what else I must do to prove I have not been Rays fan for the last 7 months.

GB

His innings worked don't bother me either. I would think he knows his body better than anyone and wouldn't have done anything that would have mortgaged his future. He's too young a guy to be doing that.

What the article said to me is there are probably only 3 people on the planet authorized to speak for CC- himself, Mrs. CC and his agent- and one has now said that any others speaking for him are not to be taken seriously. Time will tell whether he means it or is just using the Yanks to drive up a contract elsewhere. Either way, nothing lost as long as Cashman is working all the angles and not just focussed on one.

If hitting is really the dealbreaker, can the DH be used on our CFer on the days that CC pitches?

Drive 4-5
October 5th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
GB7,

“If he had expended a third as much energy practicing his fielding or running out ground balls in games that he did practicing his hitting, there wouldn’t be a conversation, because he’d never have left Boston and other teams may have inquired about obtaining him.”

That sums Ramirez up perfectly.

Also, the “staunch and knowledgeable critics” you refer to are paid employees of the the Boston Red Sox. As NESN commentators/spin doctors, they say nary a negative word about any Sox player. I live in Mass. and hear them regularly.

_____________________________________________________

Until Ramirez was traded, according to all the players, announcers, front office personnel, press/media, fans and anybody else connected to the Red Sox besides the travelling secretary, Ramirez was a lovable, laughable oaf and a man-child with a heart of gold, until he was traded. after the trade, you don't see anybody with anything good to say about him, except that he could hit....IF HE FELT LIKE IT.

I don't expect either the Dodgers, Giants or Mets to land Sabathia.
Mets- they have Santana. No way will Freddy Coupon have 2 starters making a combine 40+ million.
Dodgers- pretty cheap owner
Giants- they got good young pitching coming soon and currently on the roster. They gave Zito a fortune.
I expect the Red Sox to go after him. but do it just to drive up the price. The Tigers are a possibility and the Phillies.
But when it's all said and done I think he will end up in the Bronx.
