the Hall of Fame asks for everything they can think of. About 75 % of the stuff they have if not more is in storage and not on display. They should really be less greedy in what they ask for and make sure they display it.

You don't have to go up there in the dead of winter to avoid the crowds. I went in the srping several years back on a week day and it was virtually deserted. It was about 50 degrees or so and I could take by time at everything.

One word of caution. If you have been to other Halls of Fame you will find Cooperstown to be the least modern, lest technical of any Hall.... certainly any Hall I've been to. the audio/visual offerings are minimal and that's disappinting.

MLB should consider building a baseball "museum" somewhere that's more accessible and make it hi tech... don't move the "Hall of Fame". Cooperstown should always be its home, but baseball could reachout to a new generation of fans with a baseball museum in Chicago or St. Louis for example.

Speaking of museums... anyone have a scouting report on the new Sports Museum in the city down by the South Street Seaport???

The Ichiro entry makes it sound like he tied the single season hit record...with 200 hits. You'd think a press release from the HOF would be clearer.

I agree, Tom.

I hate that they're starting him, and probably, wasting his talents. But alas, I'm not the GM, so hindsight is much easier to critique. Which I'll certainly do.
