Say this for Joba Chamberlain, he’s soaking up the experience of being Joba Chamberlain. The flame-throwing right-hander was at Disney World on Monday and posed with a bunch of guys on the mound.

Here is what the press release said:

Joba Chamberlain met meeting executives from Disney Sports and PowerAde during the Power Up Fantasy Camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Chamberlain was a part of a collection of well-known athletes and sports Hall of Famers to participate in the fantasy camp hosted by POWERAde at Disney’s Wide World of Sports near Orlando, Fla., where select fans from across the country had a chance to take part in the sports experience of a lifetime.

Cash that check, dude.

Sure. Right now, Kennedy could bring in Shawn or Steve Kemp.

Kennedy is going to be ok. He just isn’t ready. Getting ready is up to him.

IPK could barely yield anything at this point for
Kemp think more Hughes than IPK.

Sure James, IPK has trade value. You could probably get Mike Lamb or Adam Everett for him.

Former Congressman and Vice Presidential Candidate Jack Kemp is also available. I think he can be had for Kennedy, yes.

  11. Buddy Biancalana October 8th, 2008 at 12:48 am

How about Kennedy for one of Shawn Kemp’s 16 kids by 14 different mothers.

  12. E-Rod October 8th, 2008 at 12:50 am

Sadly, Kemp even at his age is better than Eddy Curry.

Ted Kennedy and a Kennedy to be named later.

Sounds like there are a surplus of Kemps and Kennedys. This trade could be subtraction by addition.

They accounted for enough wasted money to refloat the economy.

The Yankee fans need to remember that former Senator John Kennedy used to shortstop for them.

  17. Y26 October 8th, 2008 at 1:21 am

Maybe a blockbuster trade with all the Kennedys and Kemps involved?

Ted Kennedy for Shawn Kemp would rock the baseball world.

    What a job by Job-a!

I didn’t listen to John Sterling all year. Did he have one for Phil Coke such as Coke is it! or the Yankees are Addicted to Coke!

Is that really Joba, or the imposter?

  20. bigjf October 8th, 2008 at 9:56 am

Some fantasy camp? Well, I guess he’s gotta get innings somehow…

And I’m pretty sure Sterling used the Coke is it line.
