MLB.com seeking interns

So, are you a student with some experience in sportswriting and eager to cover the majors? MLB.com is seeking interns for next summer.
No guarantees, of course, but it could lead to something.

One of my buddies sent this to me, it’s a soldier in Iraq doing a Harry Carey impersonation at a checkpoint. Very funny.

I interned for a summer there, and still do part-time work with MLB.com. It’s not impossible to get a job there, for those who think they won’t have a chance…
How much do they get paid? given state of economy, I’m gussing zero $
Austin Jackson with 3 Ks today… still has a LONG way to go. too many holes in his swing.
If I were only 20 years younger…
Marquez pitching now. What’s the team’s plan for him?
poor,
The “associates” get paid $500/week. But you’d find people who would do it for free. Valuable experience. But you’d have to be like Pete and not root for a team.
“Austin Jackson with 3 Ks today… still has a LONG way to go. too many holes in his swing.”
He was 2 for 4 yesterday with a triple and a homerun. Seems pretty silly to make conclusions on any one game, even if your right that he probably has a bit of a while before he’s MLB ready.
If your a student in a J-School wanting to someday write about baseball for a career do it.
I interned once on one of those semester at sea things. I got to see London, Lisbon, Sicily, Istanbul, the Azores Island. I only made 1200$ but it was fun.
Correction on above:
He didn’t actually have a HR yesterday, but still, a triple and 4 RBIs. Pretty good…
What is AJax’s ceiling?
Yeah, I’m a college student and I’m going to apply, but $500 a week is well more than I make working part time while going to school.
Jackson’s ceiling is Mike Cameron-lite.
I’d say a .275 BA, .350 OBP, 15-20 HRs, 20 SBs, 35 doubles. 100+ Ks.
Will play good defense, but has an average arm. I’d actually say Nady with less power but more speed and better D.
He isin’t projected to be a ‘superstar’ player. but if he works hard, he could become one—- see Pedroia who turned himself from his Eckstein potential ceiling into the best 2B in the AL/MVP candidate.
“So, are you a student with some experience in sportswriting and eager to cover the majors?”
I’m a 39 year old numbers cruncher but I’m eager to cover the majors!
Should I give it a shot?!
(sent from cube farm hell)
A-Jax isin’t on the level of Maybin, Fowler, Heyward, etc.
He is on the next level in terms of prospects. Not a star, but a good player. 5 tool player but doesn’t have elite tools. Solid player.
jackson is one of those guys who does everything good but nothing great. doesn’t have great power, great speed, not an average hitter, good athleticism but average arm. i hope cashman doesnt overhype him and say he is our CF for the next 20 years and will be our next bernie.
maybe larry bowa will come back to the bronx.
Cole Hamels prefers East Coast fans, as does Larry Bowa
(though the title is a little misleading…)
I think Sheets would be a steal if you can get him for 3 years
Does Bud Selig need a Monica Lewinsky type intern?
I hope CC reads those Hamels/Bowa quotes
East and West, passion-wise is night and day.
Thanks X-Mann and Mark. Good stuff. I only read the scouting reports I can get online (Baseball America) if there free.
Jackson sounds like he could be a nice player. Does he walk much/have a good eye? (could he be a leadoff guy)
“I hope CC reads those Hamels/Bowa quotes ”
seriously. someone email the link to his agent!
THANK YOU PETE!!!
Tom, he does have a good eye. He will take his walks, he isin’t a Matt Kemp type who will strike out 130 times and walk 30 times.
I think he will sport an above average OBP at the ML level, even with the Ks. His plate discipline is similar to Gardner’s, a lot of strike 3s looking because he tries to be patient. He is projected to be a leadoff guy in the majors but for past few months, including these first 2 games in the AFL, he has been batting 3rd. Don’t know why. That also is probably hindering his SB total. He is a table setter not an RBI man. I think that may have hurt his numbers too.
Like FireMeachum said, he isin’t projected to be a star at the moment, but the tools are there for him to do so, he’s only 21. He isin’t a Brett Gardner type who is likely destined for a 4th OF spot, Jackson will be a very good player in the ML. He has played in pitcher’s park his whole life. His road/home splits were drastic this year. Trenton is one of the worst hitting parks in the minors.
I’d apply if I liked to write. But I don’t. Tell MLB.com they need to do internships dealing with numbers, not words. I’d do all sorts of numerical analyses if they wanted me to. Math majors aren’t interested in being writers – at least this one isn’t.
...unfortunately, they mean COLLEGE students. Figures.
AZ, good deal. thanks
they definately need better gameday operators. does that count as math?
I’d give my eye teeth to have Bowa back. I truly think his presence could be the difference between winning and winning huge.
Just my opinion.

“The walks were a result of not being out there in a while,” Hughes said. “My fastball command wasn’t what I would’ve liked it to have been, but you expect that after not having stepped on the mound in a game situation. My breaking ball was working and, when I got ahead, everything seemed to fall into place.”
He’s making the most of his time in Arizona.
“The biggest thing for me is getting some innings,” Hughes said. “My season was cut pretty short with the injuries. It’s frustrating but there’s nothing you can do about it. Here I can work on some things I wouldn’t necessarily be able to work on in the big leagues where everything counts.”
I love hearing about the breaking ball working – clearly, Phil is going to be working on his change/cutter, etc.., which is good news. He’s not worried about his command, so I won’t either -it’s rust, as I thought.
Who are the hitters in the minors who have the highest ceiling?
Is it Montero and Laird?
trisha – RAYS IN 3! (yes I know it’s a 7 game series…)

Drive, did you go home that night/morning? We left the Stadium when it shut and we didn’t get home until 4:15 a.m.!
Luckily our daughter lives in Manhattan so we stayed the night with her and didnt have to drive anywhere. We’ll miss the Stadium and we’re apprehensive about our seat relocation. We had great affordable seats in Tier 2. Very few of those seats exist in the new place.
Yes, Montero, Laird, and Romine have the highest ceilings hitting-wise. All are 3 years away though, only in low A ball.
Jackson is the only good hitting prospect coming up in the forseeable future. We’re really lacking in that department thats why we’re eventually going to have to trade some of the high ceiling pitching for young hitting.
I don’t know where you have to live for this. I’m guessing NYC, since MLB.com offices are in Manhattan, so that greatly diminishes the money you make, if you don’t already live there… However, I’m assuming you aren’t doing the internship for money to begin with. It’s all about the experience you are getting. When you are trying to get a job covering baseball in the future, your experience covering a real MLB team with a company like MLB.com will look a lot better than some kid that wrote articles for his school newspaper.
would bowa even come back here after we let him go?
in his recent articles, he was very critical of the yankees and really supporting torre—- he has kind of been the spokesperson for torre in LA, same with mattingly.
“We’re really lacking in that department thats why we’re eventually going to have to trade some of the high ceiling pitching for young hitting.”
I always thought that was one of the reasons Cashman collected so many high-end arms. Talented Pitching prospects are worth more alot on the trade market.
Patrick, I’m responding to your post in a prior thread.
No question the Yankees had what the Queen once called an “Annus Horribilus”. It started out bad and got worse. However, I don’t want the organization to be blown up off of one bad year. They still have a good scouting department, headed by Oppenheimer, and I have no doubts that they will evaluate this year and learn from what went wrong. Sure some of the kids were injured, but it doesn’t mean they will be forever that way and it doesn’t mean that they won’t be productive in 2009…..........
ok, i don’t like to dis others on this blog, esp. given how stupid my own posts often are.
and i really dislike the neo-mccarthyism promoted on this blog… seizing the opportunity to ask for registration and monitors every time there is a slightly inappropriate post (like, does anyone every read the ESPN comments? they require registration, and they monitor, and thanks for that every comment is unreadable its so violent and vulgar)
but, in our fantasy world in which outsiders and red sox fans are just dying to read our latest thoughts on the newest yankee prospects, lets just ask ourselves what kind of posters would most likely be “trolls.”
no one goes to sleep and wakes up gamedaying the hawaiin winter league!! I’m sorry, I’m a nerd, and i too find myself displaying signs of clinical insanity after 2 days without major league baseball. but i still do not go to sleep and wake up in the morning gamedaying the hawaiin winter league.
that is not even a sign of clinical insanity, because no human does it. it is just not human behavior. not psychotic behavior, not sane behavior.
now, if by chance i had some interest in promoting hawaiian winter league gameday… like it was my job… (2 days without mlb, apparently there is an economic crisis…)
Guess Damon isn’t alone in covetting AJ Burnett for the Yanks. A quote from Jesse Barfield:
“Just to let you know how good A.J. is, Derek Jeter told me that Burnett is the nastiest pitcher he has ever faced! Derek is not talking about just this season – he was talking about in his career. Now that is saying something”
The players have done all they could legally to let Brian Cashman know they want Burnett badly.
Now he basically has to go after Burnett with a strong offer or risk ticking off the clubhouse. He is the first free agent that the players in the clubhouse has been chatting about for months before he hit FA. They want him.
Get him Cashman or risk alienating the players.
Joba’s hat is already in the HOF?
I guess they know he is the next great star pitcher and they want to get his merchandise at a discount before it is worth millions
Amazing to see how much he has ascended since he was called up, I;m proud of him.
i predict coke is the next great yankee phenom after joba
“i predict coke is the next great yankee phenom after joba”
Is he the new Phil Franchise?
guys I just found out that Larry Doby once tried to buy my grandfather’s house in Paterson.
My father was shocked I knew who Larry Doby was.
phil franchise lol
how the mighty have fallen
hate football, Do you really hate football?
Rebecca –
that is really awesome. =) I once met Stan Jefferson last year when he came into my restuarant in the Bronx to order some food.

Just imagine….a failure at the age of 22. Everyone should be as successful as you appear to be. Only the truly wealthy have time to troll a sports board.
Rebecca, how long ago? Although, I’m from Jersey (Middletown) can’t say I’ve ever been to Paterson. Allen Ginsberg grew up there so its ok in my book.
GreenBeret, yup after 100 inings pitched. Remember that kid Ron Guidry? He came up in 75 and 76 for a cup of coffee and wasn’t really any good. What ever happended to him?
Real quick OT:
The new Greg Oden
Ed: You have a restaurant in the Bronx? Close to Arthur Ave? If it is, I’ll come visit.
Tom: Dad says 1951, 1952 ish. My father was born in 1950, so it was likely his parents were looking to move to a nice® suburban area to raise a family.
Knicks looked great tonight
The Blazers will make the playoffs this year
Knicks looked great tonight
They still looked like crap, I was more impressed by Toronto’s help D and the way they crash the boards.

How about that bum from Brooklyn back in the mid ‘50s. A total waste of oxygen. Odd name, he had a girl’s name. A Jewish kid…Sandy something or other.
Rebecca –
it’s on Baychester ave and Boston Road..not sure if its close to Arthur Ave.
I wonder what Derek Jeter is doing these days.
Rebecca –
OK i found out. its a 10 min drive away from Arthur ave. However, the restuarant will be closed this month due to renovations.

Whatever he’s doing, it’s more productive than trolling a sports board.

Probably your girl.
Brandon –
burn. lol….
Rebecca, I have some family history in paterson as well. Further back though. I guess they owned a hotel, but didn’t allow ballplayers there because they spit. The place burnt down in a huge fire in the city.
And Rich Harden will remain a Cub.
Brandon, the only concern I would have is if Oden can remain healthy. Big men tend to break down a lot.

“Rebecca, I have some family history in paterson as well. Further back though. I guess they owned a hotel, but didn’t allow ballplayers there because they spit. The place burnt down in a huge fire in the city.”
Maybe they should have let the ballplayers spit!
In all seriousness, hopefully no one was hurt.
MEL
Abreu would be a perfect DH…too bad we already have a few
Oden is too young it isn’t ala Amare, they shut him down early and rebuilt that kid stronger than ever, major credit to Portland they can be the TB Rays of the NBA this year. Look at that young core.
Webster, Roy, Frye, Aldrige, Fernandez, Blake, Outlaw, Pryz, Rodriguez, Bayless*, Oden ….That’s a dangerous group and Rudy Fernandez is passing the ball like Pistol Pete man..that is going to be the toughest young team in the NBA.
Saucy: Given your North Jersey roots, that doesn’t surprise me!
Brandon –
Greg Oden has R.O.T.Y written all over him. If he wasn’t injurired last year before the season began, he could have won it or a runner up at least.
Remember, though, Matsui and Damon are in the last year of their contracts. Abreu might be looked at for covering LF one year then becoming a DH/ backup OF. I really don’t think he will be back, but it isn’t that far out there.
I think a lot depends on contract demands/cost for what he will be slotted to be.
Abreu has already said he wants 3 years…he’s already 35
I think he’s a great player…just a few years too late
Mac Nut –
if Matsui’s legs doesn’t hold up anymore, I think he most certainly will retire. He even said it himself, either play for the Yanks or go back to Japan and retire.
Yanks,
Agreed!
Maybe I do a 2 yr. deal. Matsui will play in the outfield some. But that gives you Matsui, Damon/Gardner, Nady? Ugh. Maybe Gardner can cover from left center field to right center field.
The Big Wild Card is Jorge’s shoulder. The uncertainty of it will doom Abreu I think. But by all accounts, Jorge should be okay, though.
Cashman’s comments don’t sound conducive to Bobby’s case. But he’d be a great asset somewhere. Maybe we see him on the Mets?
Ed-
If he’s the type of player I think he is, he might turn into the MVP of the Western Conference…Yes alot of Kobe fans just went “WTF did you just say !” if he hits his potential him and L.A. in the frontcourt are going to dismantle the West.
The Yanks have the perfect players if it were 2003…Damon, Matsui, Posada, Abreu (FA)...are all too old
It’s really foolish to think that the Yanks can turn over half their roster in one season..this is going to take the length of Cash’s extension
I read somewhere that the cubs were interested in Abreu. Could you imagine him playing in wrigley. Those walls are brick. He’d have to go out to RF in football gear.
Pay attention to Hank Blalock as soon as he hits the market I expect the Yankees to make him the 1B. He reminds me of Tino (seriously).
I can’t see bobby in left with his range issues. Esp Yankee stadium. Right at least makes better use of his arm, I think.
Brandon, Blaylock has an option that the Rangers are going to pick up (per Yahoo Sports).
He’d be a good bat though.
Tom,
Maybe he thinks it’s poison ivy? Oh, that’s mean. sorry.
Did the Rangers say they would pick his option ?
Um…I don’t know about Tino…maybe Nick Johnson
He should definately be on their radar though, especially if they don’t want/can’t sign Tex
Listen to this rumor gaining steam, the Texas Rangers are going hard after K-Rod.
Brandon,
Sep 30 The Dallas Morning News’ Evan Grant writes the Texas Rangers will likely pick up their $6.2 million option on IF Hank Blalock for the 2009 season. However, it is uncertain where Blalock would play, as he could be used as the DH, first baseman or third baseman.
Seems as if they are.
Had a chance to watch my tivo from this week’s E60 (ESPN docu news show) and there is a great piece on Ugi Uribitha who is now serving time in Venezuelan jail for attempted murder and kidnapping. What a truly bizzare story and not to give away the whole show but not sure I have ever heard of a maximum security jail where theprisoners carry guns and knives and a prisoner has sattelitte tv and wifi in his jail cell.
I am ure they repeat it many times so you should chceck it out. They had Bobby Abreu at the beginning of the piece talking about what a nasty pitcher he was.
Also his delivery reminded me of KROD in term of his violent move and if I ecall correctly the last few years in the league he seemed to have lost it.
Thanks Tom I’ve been talking to posters from another forum and they’ve been telling me the Rangers fans don’t want to resign Blalock or Bradley and love Chris Davis, but if they pick up Hank’s option they might be able to pawn him off.
I meant RF, not LF. I guess talking about Damon and Matsui had me left brained!
Abreu wouldn’t do in Left at all.
Brandon, Your absolutely right that they would try “to pawn him off”:
An additional option would be to trade him away to a contender, perhaps in return for young pitching, as the team could use 1B Chris Davis at first base and 3B Travis Metcalf at third base (ibid).
They want young pitching.
How about Kennedy and Veras?
Mel, I think Veras was cut by Texas. I could be wrong.
Tom –
the Power Rangers want pitching? well we got pitching.
Brando,
me troll? Who’s a$$ is your tongue licking?
Tom –
you are right. Veras was cut by the Power Rangers.
Brandoo,
maybe mine? LOL.
Really? Well, he probably looks better now.
How about Eddy? No, that won’t work. The Angels are in the division.
Mel –
try Ian Kennedy and Bruney?
Hmm. It’s a tough one. Other than Kennedy, I don’t want to see the Yankees trade any of their young, mlb ready, arms-Coke, Sanchez, Melancon, Cox.
Depends on who replaces Bruney. The weak links are Veras and Edwar. How incredible is that?

There are a couple of thoughts/rumors on why Ugueth Urbina was involved in this. One story had one of Urbina’s ranch workers had stolen a pistol from him and the thief and others went swimming in his pool without permission. The other being that these five people were involved in the kidnapping of Urbina’s mother a year or so before that.
Brandoo,
maybe mine? LOL.
That’s your best one liner ? Sad.
gayle I can’t find when it is repeated.
I did find a website that posts all the shows, maybe it is too new?

Tom I like D-Rob over Cox, I don’t think JB is going to be kept. We have alot of arms better suited although the side arm is what makes him valuable so who knows.
“What a truly bizzare story and not to give away the whole show but not sure I have ever heard of a maximum security jail where the prisoners carry guns and knives and a prisoner has sattelitte tv and wifi in his jail cell.”
Reminds me of how the columbian goverment kept Pablo Escobar in “Jail”. They let him build a compound with his own drug money.
Tom –
If I remember correctly, I remember reading something about moving Young to 3B because they have a prospect ready to detrone Young at SS. I would imagine its Joaquin Arias (our former prospect). So I would imagine the lineup would be:
Kinsler 2B
Young 3B
Davis 1B
Arias SS
Lord help the rest of the league if the Rangers ever fix their pitching.
Jennifer maybe its just not up yet but I know they repeat it often times on ESPN2.
Green Beret the thing that was really weird is that his initial trial he claimed to have no involvement whatsoever and now in his appeal he says that he claims that he didnt mean to hurt them and they they tried to steal something for him. It is really really didgy all I know is that they showed the people that were hurt as well as their wounds and itwas not a pretty site and that they were put on fire and had to jump in his pool to douse the flames is really really creepy
Brandon, I knew I forgot someone. Your right. With the Side-arm guys are sink or swim. Guys like Bradford on TB are great because the are death to Right-handers and they keep the ball in the park. Not too many Guys like Bradford though.
Well there is BY Kim…
Ed-
Arias was part of the famous Arod trade. It took that kid alot of work to get to the hitter he showed at AAA this past season. He’s a slick middle inf, w/ XBH power and speed.
Lord help the rest of the league if the Rangers ever fix their pitching.
Don’t even joke about that Nolan Ryan would become Mr. Baseball and it’s scary but secretly he’s building a deep farm w/ arms almost as good as ours.
Veras is hardly a weak link in the bullpen. A 3.59 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 57 innings. Only his walks are a little high. His walks were a little high, buy, that’s something that can be fixed. NYY has plenty to work with. As bad as Texas’ pitching is, tossing Rasner, Ramirez, Albaladejo, Britton and cash for Blalock and a minor league infielder or one of their bad contracts (Millwood?).
I think I’d freak out if Francisco Rodriguez becomes a Ranger. They can score you to death thier problem was they a 7th inning arm as thier CL can you imagine Wilson less pressure to the 7th or 8th and then K-Rod for the 9th ?
thier problem was they had a*
Brandon –
if we never did traded him, he might be our best position prospect that we have right now.
Nah I’d still put Austin Jackson and JESUS! over him.
for Blalock and a minor league infielder or one of their bad contracts (Millwood?).
I rather get back Arias instead of Millwood.
Brandon –
you would put him over Eric Duncan right?
Ed, right now Pena and Corona are the middle infielders in line to replace Jeter/Cano. The youngster that I can’t wait to see is the Staten Island shortstop from this year’s draft, Addison Muruszak. It appears that he’d be a high average, solid power and speed replacement for Jeter. I think that he’s going to be the next Yankee shortstop, assuming he continues to play like his first 44 pro games.
A Texas team with that offense and good pitching is a very scary proposition.
Brandon –
you would put him over Eric Duncan right?
It depends which Eric Duncan your talking about, 2 yrs. ago abosolutely not, now yeh. Next yr. who knows, Eric Duncan is a strange player, when it clicks he’s clutch he’s dangerous and kills the ball, when it doesn’t weak grounders and injuries.
GB be honest you love Anderson because Tino picked him
I love Carmen Angelini he’s going to bounce back.
Addison * (j/k)
GB 7 –
the sad thing is, Corona will be rule 5 eligible this season. there are chances that he might be pick if the Yanks doesn’t protect him.
Ed which is why we need to deal him.

wasn’t Duncan was suppose to take over 1B after Giambi leaves? I know now that’s not happening because he hasn’t been putting up numbers like he should.
Brandon –
very true. might as well get something in return rather than nothing.
Injuries have been the reason Eric hasn’t hit his stride, I don’t know why but I see alot of Mike Lowell in him. It may take a few years till he tunes his game.

_
I’m guessing that Angelini ends up in the outfield. After watching him and Snyder most of this year, they’re not infielders. Snyder’s better, but, he’s not that good, either. I’m not as concerned with Angelini’s hitting as I am with his glove. Scatter armed and stiff hands. Snyder is better suited as a good hitting super utility type.
late bloomer?
I’m not able to follow baseball as much as some. So maybe this is completely unrealistic. But, I thought I’d give it a shot.
What about Ryan Braun for Cano and a prospect. Then sign Tex, Burnett, Lowe, Hudson and deal Nady?
LF Damon
SS Jeter
1B Texeria
3B Arod
RF Braun
DH Matsui
C Posada
2b Hudson
CF Gardner
SP1 Wang
SP2 Burnett
SP3 Pettitte
SP4 Chamberlein
SP5 Lowe
I don’t see Duncan getting picked up this year. Other than a really bad team like Pittsburgh, Seattle or Washington could take a chance on him, since they’d need to keep him on the 25 man roster all year.
GB Alot of people take too much into his fielding in yr. 1 I never saw it but Derek Jeter once upon a time had over 50 errors in an A ball season.
Ed I can’t say for sure he’s a late bloomer but when it clicks you see his swing and his approach and you wonder what’s holding him back.
I said this once and I will say it again:
Who in the right mind would replace a 26 year old 2B for a 32 year old?
GB 7 –
Duncan wasn’t chosen last year. this year, it might be a little bit different.
What about Ryan Braun for Cano and a prospect
Did Milwaukee’s GM go insane ? I’d do it w/o blinking fat chance that happens. On Hudson don’t expect him to be a Yankee.
Milwaukee has no reason to trade Braun and Hudson isn’t nearly the hitter that Cano is and his defense is barely equal when he plays on turf or the asphalt infield in Arizona, not to mention just having wrist surgery. He has zero power and he doesn’t steal bases. No thanks.
GB and Brandon –
It’s like replacing Ian Kinsler for Jeff Kent to play 2B.
Who in the right mind would replace a 26 year old 2B for a 32 year old?
.....
if PJ Pilittere or Kyle Anson isn’t protected for this year’s rule 5, why do I have a feeling Boston will pick either of them since they are in need of a catcher.
Ed,
Don’t they have 3 on their postseason roster? They won’t let Faritek go. He’s way to valuable to that staff.
Mel –
true that they have 3 catchers, but they most likely going to release one of them. As for Varitek, I think he still wants a Posada-like contract.
Brandon (TEIX IS NOT WORTH IT, GET CC !)...”Keep Manny away !”

The problem is, it was everything about his defense. If he hits, he’d do well in left field. I just don’t see him as an infielder. I realize that he can improve, but, as I said, everything’s wrong…not just arm or glove.
I’d love to see Duncan get past the draft and explode during spring training. I just don’t see it, though. Every time he gets on a roll with his bat, his back starts acting up.
Ed,
Well, if he thinks he’s getting that, he definitely blocked the plate too many times.
They’ll keep Cash as long as they keep renewing Wake’s option.
I’m so glad we signed Jose to a 2-year deal. He and Bobby seem to be enjoying their time here.

didn’t Duncan explode during the first week of spring training last year when he past the draft then got optioned down?
Mel –
this coming season will most likely be Molina’s last since Cervelli will most likely be ready to take over the backup catcher’s role. something like Posada took Girardi’s catching gig when Posada was a rookie.
Cervelli will most likely going to make his case in spring training and will be lurking for sometype of a role.**

He didn’t get much of a a chsnce. 1 hit in 1 at bat. He really started to hit around June of this year when he was up to .270+, then got hurt, and slumped for the rest of the year.
Cervelli’s not ever going to hit that much, I don’t think. He has no power, but, decent defense. His real job will be as a backup. Just hope he doesn’t play 120 games, though.

until Cervelli develops consistent offensive numbers, he projects a good backup catcher. He has some a good strike zone knowledge though.
If you happen to notice any Computer/Electrical Engineering internships lying around, let me know. I have been searching and it’s looking bleak.
Oden is right now abusing GSW doulbe team. Just abusing.
BTW he did one of the nastiest dunks on Beidrins that would make you put FUGLY face !
Brandon,
Are you watching a replay? Oden is long gone. 2 min. left.
Actually it just finished awhile ago I was watching a link and playing the scenes, Rudy Fernandez almost got hurt, Outlaw played like crap.
Pedroia’s MiLB line: .308 .392 .453 845
AJax’s MiLB line: .284 .355 .410 765
Pedroia was NEVER anywhere near (as bad as) Eckstein. Don’t confuse and talent.
