until Cervelli develops consistent offensive numbers, he projects a good backup catcher. He has some a good strike zone knowledge though.

Cervelli’s not ever going to hit that much, I don’t think. He has no power, but, decent defense. His real job will be as a backup. Just hope he doesn’t play 120 games, though.

He didn’t get much of a a chsnce. 1 hit in 1 at bat. He really started to hit around June of this year when he was up to .270+, then got hurt, and slumped for the rest of the year.
