The Tampa fans have suddenly become very cocky. The Yankees will be back on top next year. Mark my word. The Rays will fall off..than what? The stands will be empty down in Tampa like they usually are. They didn’t conquer anything. Yes, they are a good story, but they are definitely getting carried away. I guess they can enjoy it while it lasts.

GB I wasn’t wrong about Ray nor am I wrong about Ray. But if gratuitous comments are your gig, then I can see why you said what you did and I hate to say it but it helps me better understand why Pete made the comment he did the other night about your pretending to play things off once you’re called on them.

The best thing that could possibly happen to the Yanks is a two-year ban on Hank Steinbrenner, as long as that’s the only penalty the Yanks receive. He’s going to end up costing the Yanks dearly, because he’s come extremely close to having tampering charges leveled on him and that will cost the Yanks in money and talent.
