We have quite a few Type A free agents-Abreu, ?I-Rod, Marte if option not picked up. After CC , not sure who I want as a starter. Pettitte signing can wait IMO. Suspect we will not sign Teixeira, or any other position player that will be making 15-25 million a year. We will look into trading surplus pitching prospects for young position players to fill the holes. Blalock mentioned. How about Ryan Zimmerman for 1st, Garrett Atkins a former 1st baseman? Don't count on getting Joey Votto, and I say no to trading for Adrian Gonzalez, Prince Fielder, or Ryan Howard all who hit lefties poorly and have tons of strikeouts, and would cost us a ton of good prospects!! If you want a lefty basher at first who'll hit 40-50 homers, and strike out a lot, as a Yankee you might as well sign Adam Dunn for 1st,OF[eventually moving to DH]. At least we don't lose our best farm system players.
