I think the Phillies will win it in 7, BUT, I'd love to see the Rays do it so the media will finally get off the happy train to Red Sox Town and give some lovin' to someone else.....Selfish, I know, but, if Sox fans can wear YH hats, I can root for TB.

Ryan Howard hasn't hit his hot streak this post season yet, when that guy is on things happen and i think it is a huge advantage to the phillies that they get a dh for 4 games. That being phillies in 6

Just read that Bill Madden article, don’t know why. That guy has to be the dumbest sports writer in NY. I think I said I would never read another one of his articles after his ridiculous offseason plan he proposed for the Yankees.

He praises the Rays for their patience and for picking the right pitchers and says the Yankees arms have not panned out. Guess what Bill, the Yankees need to show patience with their guys too. Kazmir, Shields, Garza, and Sonnanstine have

If Bill Madden used the names of Kazmir, Jackson and Garza as pitches developed by Tampa Bay Devil Rays, then he's an idiot because Tampa had zero to little to do with developing those pitchers. all three were developed by three different teams. All Tampa did was be so lousy that they had nothing to lose by starting them.

I am coming out of self-imposed posting exile (suffice to say I don't recommend attending grad school and starting a new job at the same time).
I said back in June that the Rays reminded me of the '69 Mets. They fought a tough regular season battle to win the East, and beat a wounded but still tough Boston squad.
The Trop is a big advantage for them. I was at game 6 of the ALCS and I have never heard a crowd so loud.

They have overcome their only glaring weakness and temporarily have found a replacement for Percival in young Mr. Price. Maddon has the guts of a burglar for putting him in game 7 the way he did. All I can say about that was Wow!

Even though we are (mostly) Yankee fans here, if you love baseball you have to love the story of the Rays this year.

That all said Rays in 6.

Just read that Bill Madden article, don't know why.

Kazmir, Shields, Garza, and Sonnanstine have all had much more professional innings than Kennedy, Joba, Brackman, and Betances. I don't think anyone can fairly say that Price will be better than Joba or that in a few years Hughes won't be able to have a season like Shields or Sonnanstine just had. He also fails to mention Wang, who the Yankees developed since he was 20.

So, Bill, how the HELL can you talk about the great job the Rays have done developing their starters: Scott Kazmir (24), James Shields (26), Matt Garza (24), Andy Sonnanstine (25) and now David Price (23), and then condemn the Yankees' starters: Hughes (22), Joba (23) Betances (20), Brackman (22), who have clearly not had as much time to develop?

In 2 years from now, no one can say who's going to be better Wang, Joba, Hughes, and Brackman or Price, Kazmir, Shields, and Sonnanstine.

the whole purpose of signing players is that you should think they would be good or good enough.
like i said if he didn't have the disease he has it would be a great idea.he was a first roung draft choice and an excellant talent BUT he get's very tired easily.not a good idea and he would take up a very important roster spot.
