Just read that Bill Madden article, don’t know why. That guy has to be the dumbest sports writer in NY. I think I said I would never read another one of his articles after his ridiculous offseason plan he proposed for the Yankees.

He praises the Rays for their patience and for picking the right pitchers and says the Yankees arms have not panned out. Guess what Bill, the Yankees need to show patience with their guys too. Kazmir, Shields, Garza, and Sonnanstine have

I said back in June that the Rays reminded me of the '69 Mets. They fought a tough regular season battle to win the East, and beat a wounded but still tough Boston squad. The Trop is a big advantage for them. I was at game 6 of the ALCS and I have never heard a crowd so loud. They have overcome their only glaring weakness and temporarily have found a replacement for Percival in young Mr. Price. Maddon has the guts of a burglar for putting him in game 7 the way he did. All I can say about that was Wow! Even though we are (mostly) Yankee fans here, if you love baseball you have to love the story of the Rays this year. That all said Rays in 6.
