When one team is potentially playing its last game in the world series, it does make sense to try to provide optimal circumstances. Optimal circumstances do not include playing in teaming rain or potentially resuming play at 1:00 a.m. That just is not fair to either team. I can't blame Selig for this. If you think that the chances for this happening were increased with all of the additional "between" time in the postseason, that's one thing. But really, torrential rain can occur any time during the year. I don't think that October corners the market. Fox hasn't made any announcements regarding its precious shows. I can't believe they allowed them to suspend that game. Just sit there in rain delay...you'll get a window to play eventually. I looked up at the TV and saw Derek Jeter doing a commercial for Clinical Strength Deodorant. Jeter is giving Peyton Manning a run for the money (literally and figuratively) in endorsement deals.
