Obviously it's nicer on a sunny day to have the roof open, but closed is ok too. The place still feels open air, with an umbrella. It doesn't do much for the temp, but you don't have to worry about a rain out. I think the point is that you can have a really nice park with a roof if it done well. I agree that the fans are a little ho hum, but to be fair they have to sit and watch replays of Edgar and Griffey and Buhner and then see the actual current team play a game. I think it hurts them deep down. I've sat with some die hards. It doesn't bother me much since I'm there to watch baseball anyway. I’ve gone to games at Safeco with the roof open and closed. That said, no trade unless it conditioned on a long term deal being reached other than "a give away" which the Rockies will not do. Boras would "love it" if both Manny and Tex are signed by other than the Yankees and the Red Sox, and then have the two bid against each other for Holliday.
