Nice post! These are important things to keep in mind, it’s typically easy to forget about the simple things when you get consumed by a project.

"All that said, I recommend it, if only to lean against the railing of the dugout and look out onto the field."

:D

Even that...

I took the tour today, for my mother's birthday. It is pretty great, but a word to the wise: its gonna be packed. My tour had 60 people on it, and they are running 2 at a time right now. The tour guide, a heavyset man in a funky yankees suede jacket, kept barking like a schoolmarm that we were taking too long, and threatened to keep us from the clubhouse. The clubhouse portion, BTW, stinks. No cameras, and you can only walk about 10 feet into a little roped off area. You can barely see Thurman's locker from this vantage point, which was what I really wanted to see. A lot of the pictures have been taken down, and the place does feel like a bit of a tomb. You still cannot walk on the field, and they might take you out back and shoot you if they catch you touching the dirt. Their reasoning is that they want Yankee Stadium to look her best every time someone visits, which I respect. No one wants to remember grandma on her deathbed. All that said, I recommend it, if only to lean against the railing of the dugout and look out onto the field.

One more thing, tickets do sell out on quickly website as somebody else stated here but they keep releasing more tickets online so check back often. also they have plenty of the day of tickets available nowadays. (as far as I know, they have not sold out for the day this month. Tours usually start at 10am and evey hour after that, sometimes till 4pm on weekends)

They are not happy about the fact people are scalping the tour tix so they are taking extra steps to prevent that.

You should definitely do the tour if you have not done so. (I have been on the tour so many times last 7 years or so since a part of my job is to translate the tour in foreign language)

From what I have seen this week, only differences are there is no name tags in clubhouse (a few players have some belongings), all the pictures and some of signs are off the walls near clubhouse area. But they could start taking off more things soon..
Some other restriction could be applied too. (you never know till the day of the tour but for example because of some NYC parks department event, there was no access to outfield warning track today)

GA1 or 0 or 2 on tickets mean absolutely nothing. by the way.

>Rich I.
You are NOT allowed to take any dirt/grass or anything from the stadium.
also No photos in clubhouse , no video taking anywhere inside. otherwise have a fun!

I am psyched, pictures on the walls or not. To go in the clubhouse they have used and look at the lockers, to go on the field, to go into the dugout. Just wow.

You travel with a group ...I don't think Row GA1 means anything. When there isn't a game you can basically park anywhere around the Stadium ...

Have fun !!!

I'm not sure how we'll get there yet. I'm in central Jersey, so we could either drive or take the train into Penn Station and then the subway.
