    come on CC…file!

  2. Laura - Ready for '09

Did CC file yet? I don’t remember seeing his name.

  3. Brad

The lesser names file first in most years. A strategic move on the part of the agents for top tier free agents.

  4. Peter Abraham

Brad: That’s not true. It really doesn’t matter when you file, it’s just a question of when the agents send in the paperwork. The teams know who the FAs are. This is just procedural. Boras filed all his guys yesterday, for instance as did Peter Greenberg. Other guys may wait a day or two. It really doesn’t mean anything.

It really doesn’t matter when they file. They have until 15 days after the end of the WS. The team that still controls the player have another 13 days with exclusive rights, unless the team gives up those rights.

Right now, Hank Steinbrenner needs to keep his mouth shut about other players. He’s been tap dancing around tampering charges all year. I don’t care is he gets fined and suspended, as long as it doesn’t cost the team.

    Come on Pavano! File!!!!

  7. RustyJohn

Kent Merker still pitches? They ought to assemble a staff of marginal has-beens from Atlanta- Mark Wohlers could come out of retirement.

  8. Jason

What happens if a player fails to file?

  9. hobbie

How damaged is Mark Prior? Any chance he can rehab from that shoulder injury?

  10. Hitman

Who cares about Mark Prior the yankees already have victor zambrano under contract.

  11. Crosetti

There´s nothing worth for the Yankees in such free agents list.

Let´s go back to basics: our farm system…

  12. Jon

I would like to see John Smoltz as a #5

  13. Bryan Simpson
