I think Burnett is all but a Yankee already. CC should be the number 1 target, but i think Burnett is way more likely to end up on the Yanks.

I Would love to see Mussina come back, but that does not look like it will be happening. If Mike somehow came back I would not want to see Andy back as well. It was painful watching him get pounded, throw way too many pitches, & struggle like he did at the end of last season, much as I’ve always admired him. Unlike Mike, I don’t believe he has the arsenal & command to pitch well with diminished stuff. If Mike retires, bring back Andy at greatly less $ only.

I think Sheets and Oswalt are buddies so Houston my end up being the place for him. That could make Randy Wolfe more likely to move on and he might be an acceptable # 4 or # 5 depending on what happens with CC, AJ, Pettite and Mussina.

Ed- Yes if he would have stayed healthy. He unfortunately came up lame down the stretch and couldn’t get on the field to pitch the first playoff game of his career that is a giant red flag.
