He's also finally seemed to have adjusted to his stuff and turned the corner so the extra year or two could cement his HOFer status and give him an outside shot at 300, something which I imagine will become almost unheard of in the present age. He for me anyway is a joy to watch. So much more going on than throwing the baseball. Its like every hitter is another chess game. Then of course he seems to be well liked in the locker room, that seems to make the guys play a bit more intensely for him. That in itself is an asset. I do really hope Moose makes it back. I expect Sabathia to be signed by the 21st of this month. The Yankees offer is just going to shut down all competition, it won't even be fair to the rest of baseball. It's going to be the Yankees offering the contract, CC signing, and the press conference announcing...done. I mean, thats unprecedented. He must have done some things behind closed doors that ticked them off that much. I read a blurb in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that said he went to pick a fight with a former teammate (the Raiders were playing the Falcons) in the visitor's tunnel instead of attending pregame warmups or something. He would sign for the minimum and is a "pro bowler". Contenders like the Cowboys, Pats, Broncos, Bears, Steelers, Chargers, Saints, etc. all needed corners and they didn't take him. He said he wanted to go to the Cowboys and they have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL and even he was too big of a headache for Jerry Jones to take on-- that should tell us all we need to know about him.
