This is a view of center field, where there will be a restaurant. This is where Monument Park will be located, that area under the black glass. The bullpens are on either side.
Looks sweet!
It looks like those bleacher seats by the restaurant are gonna suck
are they planning on transplanting Mo’s tree?
were bleacher seats ever that great to begin with? i’m not sure. i’ve always avoided them. but i may not have a choice in finding out in the new place…
Jon Heyman’s take on the Yankee FA quests..interesting:
http://www.fannation.com/si_bl.....osts/23422
Of particular interest, is the last paragraph of Heyman’s post…
“The Yankees remain interested in Manny Ramirez but are concentrating on the pitchers now with the expectation that Ramirez won’t sign quickly with anyone, certainly not the Dodgers, who bid $45 million over two years, far below Ramirez’s request for a five- or six-year deal. Meanwhile the Yankees chances to sign star free-agent first baseman Mark Texieira are greatly diminished now that they have acquired first baseman Nick Swisher.”
There obviously is a diversity of opinion, We were told yesterday “fuggettabout Manny”..now one of the most respected reporters, and a guy who usually gets the important info first, tells us something different. As I have said in earlier threads, don’t believe anything you read or hear, unless it is from a primariy source and then only if the Fat Lady is singing!!!
saucy,
“were bleacher seats ever that great to begin with?”
The right field bleacher seats in Yankee Stadium were great.
The further the bleacher seats moved towards the corner in left field, the farther you got from home plate and the worse the vantage was.
There were no obstructions in most of the bleacher seats. It does appear there are obstructed views in the seats closest to the restaurant in the new stadium.
didn’t realize they were that good, Drive-4-5.
i would always choose upper deck nosebleeds over bleacher seats. and even those had obstructed views of the corners…
now that i look back, i kind of wish i would have tried out the bleacher seats.
oh, and the new stadium’s bleachers will have some obstructed views if you are close to the restaurant.
