there is considerable concern in my mind that Phil Hughes is the 2nd coming of Nick Johnson. remember him? consistent .400 obp and 900 ops. cannot for the life of him stay healthy. now playing for the washington nationals.

Good news, then. As long as Hughes doesn't play first base, he won't be the next Nick Johnson.

Okay, guys. On that note, good night.

p.s. GB7, the kids did it, huh? Sublett was 0-fer, but Brackman and Bleich pitched well the last few weeks to put them in the position to play in today’s title game. Good for them.

Yeah, they did. Bleich was very impressive, considering he only had 3 innings of professional ball before this. Brackman had none. Sublett turned into a bit of a run producer. Romine's injruy concerns me a little, though. They had 3 catcher there and even before the injury, he was getting fewer at bats than the others. Posey was used as a catcher and a lot of DH time. I'd love to see the Yanks and others field their own complete teams, there and in Arizona, although, there are limited facilities in Hawaii.

Oh. Okay. I think someone needs to start peeing on his fingers to toughen them up.

I'd volunteer to pee in his Ovaltine. Somebody else will have to get closer to his hands.
