Chris,

I read that multiple industry sources reported pettitte will not be offered arbitration. And no, if pettitte accepted his salary would not go down from last season and may go up but not by much. Salary never really goes down after accepting arbitration from the prior season - it either stays the same or goes up.

We don't need Pettitte, but there are few better 3rd-4th starters in the MLB who will give you consistency like he will.

Does anyone know when a player can be traded if he accepts arbitration? Would the Yankees or any team need to wait until a certain date before they can trade that player?

So when are those west coast teams going to present CC's agent with an offer?

Can we get Madonna to cast a spell?

"He is a baby with weak character and a hidden but huge ego"

with the exception of maybe El Duque, Andy Pettite have been the biggest game pitcher for the Yankees the past 25 years. 100% pure will and heart.

turn in your yankee fan-card.

How can the Yankees not offer arb to Rodriguez.WE have Posada and Molina who is the best back-up catcher in the game and was a better defender then Posada and Rodriguez.

Do the Yankees actually think Rodriguez is gonna accept arb with two other catchers locked for the position and better then him?

Yanks should offer Pettitte a contract for $16 million, but only if he promises to start taking HGH again.

Abreau yes. I hope they do not offer to petite. He would not take an offer for less than 16mm. He is a baby with weak character and a hidden but huge ego.

In a perfect world we offer Abreu arbitration and he accepts. Getting him on a one year deal would be excellent and really give us an offensive boost. I understand that his range is awful, but it really isn't that much worse than Nady's.
