Maybe some but not me. I’d want to trade Cano for Kemp because Kemp has more potential and because it helps the team fill 2 holes this season.

Cano for Kemp, sign Furcal for 2B, in 2010 call up Austin Jackson and move Kemp over to RF, sign Holliday for LF.

I know this will never happen but I can dream can’t I?

sounds more like you are having a nightmare man! holliday is a horrible batter outside of colorado! look at the difference in his ba.... i never want to see him in pinstripes!
cano had a bad season last year but we all saw what he is capable the previous year, so i cant see trading him for anyone! we have 3 corner outfielders that arent going anywhere in nady, damon and matsui so another corner outfielder makes no sense to me either...

Doreen, hockey is great live. I don't follow it much, but would never pass up the opportunity to see it in person.

As for why actresses date hockey stars? My guess would be their toughness. In what other major sport do guys get their faces cut, go back and get stitched up, then come back to play, all in the same period.

"The difference is, Peavy doesn’t want to play for the Yankees, and the “few” decent prospects are named Hughes and Jackson.

At this point, especially after getting rid of Greene, Towers doesn’t have to trade Peavy.

He’s definitely not going to give him away.

You have a guy who doesn’t want to be a Yankee and will cost you prospects, as opposed to FA’s who only cost you money.

I think the Yankees, if they can, choose the second option everytime."

I hear you SJ44, but it sounds like CC doesn't want to play in NY or on the East coast either - but I guess money can change your mind, it would change mine. I believe Peavy has a no trade clause, so if he really doesn't want to come play in NY he won't.

Wrong. I doubt either of those guys would have to be in the deal. IPK/Romine or Betances/Romine could get it done. However with Betances possibly on track for a late 2010 arrival I suppose it would be wise to hold onto him. Lowe getting 5 years? That alone makes me cringe.

gamble with Chad Gaudin? Probably, we will catch a lighting in a bottle with him since he's going to be non-tendered by the Cubs anyway. Here's his scouting report:

[[Listed at 5'10", Gaudin is smaller than the prototypical starting pitcher. However, he compensates with excellent "stuff." Gaudin's arsenal consists of a low-90's 4-seam fastball and a heavy-sinking 2-seam fastball that sits in the high-80s-to-low-90s. He complements these pitches with a hard-breaking slider and a changeup. Gaudin struggles with his control at times, but has shown that he can be a reliable middle-of-the-rotation pitcher or an excellent option coming out of the bullpen.]]
