Good. We don’t want him! How much of a competitor can he be if he doe not want to pitch in the harder league? Great stuff + No heart = an OK pitcher! We want somebody to handle the big stage and have the nuts to throw the inside heater inside October.

Given a choice, I’d rather talk about Richie Sexson than Jake Peavy.

With jones getting injured every five minutes, they may see melky as the perfect fourth outfielder who is capable of starting for jones in his absence since he was about a borderline between a starter and a fourth outfielder in 2007. He is also cheap and the dodgers may not want to spend alot of prospects on a solid center fielder when they still have one when he is healthy. Plus, there are absolutely no good centerfield free agents if any at all. i THINK it makes more sense that the dodgers want melky than it would first appear.

I keep hearing the dodgers actually do like melky and they may have a big hole in center. It may make a little bit of sense to them while making little sense to us. Maybe Torre sees something in melky for the year he broke out with us. he didnt see how bad he played last year. You dont know how highly the dodgers think of meky but i dont think they think he is nothing like we do.

Jones was lousy while he played last year, but, he also missed a lot with injuries. He had inseason surgery on his right knee (meniscus) and then had left knee patella
tendonitis. He missed from 23 May to 4 July, again most of August and all of September except for 1 game.
