The collusion charge will surface from Boras eventually. He can’t imagine that teams actually want to avoid a guy that is unprofessional, a total pain and a bit of a jerk. Wow, why wouldn’t a team want that guy? I for one am happy to see the trend in pro sports that teams avoid trouble makers

Brian, I’ve seen Cano enough in person to agree with you. My bet is that he gets it at some point. Remember, this is a guy who in a down year hit 14 HR and 74 RBI and has hit 342 in the majors…For today, I’ll take the guy with upside…The Pedrioa had a nice year, but your 1B was the MVP of your team this year, not him…

Noreaster – Cano’s problem is that he himself is also of the opinion that he is “such a talent.” Pedroia has remarkable “baseball talent,” but keeps pushing himself regardless.

Brian-Ouch, Cano is such a talent, 342 a few year ago, makes unreal plays in the field…I hope he puts it together this year…but you have to like Pedroia’s ‘dirt dog’ attitude.

Noreaster – agreed that Lowrie and Pedroia have limited range …. but they are both very sure-handed and throw accurately.

Brian, Lowrie and Pedroia as middle infielders = no range. Someone has to cover the middle. And no, I’m not buying into Pedroia as a great 2B. I live in MA, the guy is a 110% effort guy, but he has to dive for everything because he has the range of a stone (ok, maybe a little more than that!). And don’t let me mention his arm (which cost you game 7)…

Noreaster – the good thing about this year’s Sox catcher is that he will be better than Varitek.

P.S. Lowrie was surprisingly good as a defensive SS (one error, OK range). Theo has said that he sees him as a SS, and I think it’s his job to lose.
