Mariners take Corona
Seattle just took Reegie Corona, who was with AA Trenton last season. He was the second pick in the Rule 5 draft.
Yes, it’s Reegie, not Reggie. He hit .274 with a .345 OBP for the Thunder.
UPDATE, 12:09 p.m.: I’m sure some of you are out there saying, “What is this Rule 5 Draft?”
Well, here is the deal: Those players eligible must have been drafted in 2004 at age 18 younger or 2005 at 19 or older and not be on a club’s 40-man roster. It costs $50,000 to take a player with the catch that he has to stay on the 25-man roster all season or be offered back.

Okay we are at 40.. does that include cc, if not who goes…
Is there any way Reegie Corona sticks on the MLB roster for an entire season?
I like the name. Is it still pronounced Reggie? or Ree- Gee?

Corona?
I viewed him in Tampa. No loss.
REEGEE, i saw him in AA, nice player, nothing special
Offered back and the original team gives back $25,000, right?
Two Yankee players taken so far. How bad are the other farm systems? haha.
We lost Corona, Kroenke and Nova so far….
I hate Rule 5

Reegie went # 2 in Rule 5 either Seattle is desperately stupid or very intelligent.
