nyy, ryan, i was looking at the reds team. they look very good on paper. starters, bronson arroyo, aaron harang, micah owings, he can also hit very well, edinson volquez was 17&6 last year. bullpen f.cordero 34 saves, also have a young b.bray 2.87 era, a rhodes the lefty, and d.weathers. there lineup, w.taveras 68 sb. j.hairston jr 6hr/15 sb only 80 games, ramon hernandez catcher 15 hr, j.bruce 21 hr. e.encarnacion 26 hr. b.phillips 21hr/78 rbi,j.votto 24hr 84 rbi. they could use another outfielder, they only have 4. but there very good on paper and young. they could give the cubs a run for there money.

kenneth,

I bet Garland would work out in that stadium. He's young , on the cheap for ol Ned and was once really good. Lowe seemed to benifit from this, being a fellow sinkerballer. Seems like it could be a similar story. Probably a better bet than any of the other FA's other than a healthy sheets.

NYY,

I think Joe was loyal to a flaw and eventually the team was run by the players. Def a change benifited both the yanks and him. The current Joe has a couple flaws too tho, like repeatedly putting Mo in during non save situations during his funk (I could sware there were about 5 games lost bc of his stubburness.

ryan,
i totally understand what you mean about getting work...sometimes i feel that is the way joe shows loyalty to his players...

the problem i had with joe during his last few years is he was getting too conservative and during the wrong times?? he forgot about small ball that brought him success with the yanks

kershaw and billingsly are def 2 young guys to build a rotation around. Dodgers always seemed to have good arms out of the farm system. I'd be cautious of torre overworking that BP. I know personally as a fan that as soon as he left more guys got opportunities and no one got over worked or favored. Other than that he's the man. Get manny and you'll walk away with that division!

nyy, you have a good point, we need to spend some money. we never even bid on cc and he told are gm he wanted to pitch for the dodgers? we have a gang of young very good players in are minors and will not even talk to sd on jake peavy? and manny we need to offer a 3 year 66 million deal, give him 3 days. then talk to bobby and/or dunn. we had 13 free agents leave. cleared about 70 million we cover some open spots with are minors. we got ausmus cheap. we cleard money with a.jones by paying it over a few years and releast him. jason schimdt comes off the books after this year. i like sheets but think he gets hurt much, andy pettite, garland, wolf. were going to look at benson saturday? he sucks. got to go for now, take my 5 year old to school, and my 7 year old to his psychologist. my wife went to ny about 4 years ago she loved it. i have never been there. i like the pats, and cowboys.

kenneth:
Of course I heard of Dodgers' pitchers. You do have a good young team and they are most deadly with Torre in command, he knows what to do wit hthe youngbloods. I wont be surprised if they do better than last year as Joe gets to know them better. Personally Id stay away from Looper. I recall he was a wreck when he was with the Mets...But one thing I dont like is that the dodgers are afraid to spend their money...You are a big city team, and it takes money to make money... you got to spend a little and be competetive...yeah you made it to the playoffs last year, but it wasnt on who was a better team, it was who didnt suck more...you guys are in serious need of manny...and he hurts you guys cuz he is offense only...maybe bobby abreu is a cheaper and better option for you guys...??

And as for the yankees being that good...well that was last year and we are great on paper...there is a long way to go..and unless something crazy happens, we will be going into the playoffs!!

wow, ryan, nyy, i did not know the yankee bullpen was that good. ok then you will make the playoffs, and go to the world series? but there they will meet two old friends??? manny & joe and the LA DODGERS. and we have a very good young team, r. martin an allstar catcher is only 25, kemp and either the same j.looney 24, furcal, 30, dewitt 23, c.blake 35, and manny, 37 but the best hitter of are times. bar non. we have 10 good arms in the bullpen to pick from, we should get wolf, and looper, or garland,to go with billingsly, kuroda, and the 22 year old kershaw. have you heard of any of them? there all very young but very good, billingsly won 16 games last year, he is 25. your team is better then i thought, anyway, need to get my boys ready for school.
