So an officer of the court thinks undermining the secrecy of government is despicable? Shocking.

A journalist's job is to expose the truth, without regard to all of the technicalities that lawyers and government employees use to control the flow of information, thereby enhancing their own value in the world.

You have no idea who provided this information. It could have been A-Rod's ex-wife or teammates who knew what happened. Only the people who knew about the results because of the raid were prohibited from releasing the information. But you're making accusations about court-order violation without knowing the truth. Shouldn't an officer of the court be more careful about that?

Of course not. You care only about suppressing truth so that a very limited understanding of it can be used to arrive at a perverse form of justice.

But if others can arrive at a truth outside the silly games the courts play with information, so be it. They are not ethically bound to participate in the cover-ups that profit lawyers and judges.

As an officer of the court, you are no more noble than a journalist. In fact, you may be less so. You don't think Selena Roberts knew she was risking some sort of subpoena by printing this information? She has to know that threatening your little legal cabal puts her in danger of going to jail.

You'd never take that chance to reveal the truth, or to achieve any brand of justice. You just play games with the facts.

So don't brag about being an officer of the court as if it denotes respectability. Half of your ilk are just piles of garbage. If you want to see something despicable, look in the mirror.

Selena went to the house, gym and where ever to give him a chance to refute the story and let him know what was coming. She had to go there, because he would not answer through the normal channels.

She went to his freaking house. The fact that the security guards didn't let her through doesn't mean she didn't attempt to do so. She is an unethical reporter. Her history has proven this to be so.

"There is a police incident report despite the fact that Pete deleted that link from the blog."

Yes, there's an incident report, Roberts herself said so several hours ago on MLB Network. The police were called to determine whether the property was public or private and whether she was allowed entry. The guards didn't know, so they called the police, who said it was OK, and they let her through. That is the "incident."

I'm sure ARod is upset and angry with Roberts. But you absolutely cannot accuse her of breaking into his house, etc, and have no proof. You can't do this in the same interview where you say how honest and sad you are about previous lies. Come on. ARod does the dumbest stuff sometimes for someone who is supposed to be media savvy.

Yeah, reporters don't stalk or harass anyone.

Gimme a break.

Ask Joe Torre about how many of them were camped outside his house for days affter the 2007 season.

This lady may have gotten the story right, but I have no doubt she's done her share of shady things to get stories.

And about deflecting and going on the defensive against the reporter, this is a woman who has been interviewing everyone in their brother, including people he went to high school with, to try to find out if he took steroids in high school. She admitted it, though of course she nicely spun it.

You know what? I'd go on the defensive against a witch like that also who was trying to do a smear job about me.

Let's just agree to disagree. I really don't particularly care how this all comes out in terms of the Roberts-Arod she said he said. And about getting everything 100% right? What did she say other than he was on the 2003 steroids list?

(I'm sure you've heard about her lack of accuracy in reporting on the Duke case and how she lost her job at the NY Times because of it?)

Once someone has a reputation for sleeze of any kind, I always watch them really closely.

"ARod’s the one who’s apparently lying about her criminal activity."

Chloe, that's the way Arod characterized what he feels she did.

I'm sure we'll be reading more about this.

Uh Trisha, except that she wasn't trespassing and she wasn't breaking in anywhere. When ARod says she committed some crimes, and then says he can prove it...and it turns out she didn't, and he can't...who's the liar again? Because everything she said about him so far has been true.

He's trying to deflect, to go on the attack against the reporter. It's not new, people do this. It's stupid, and it doesn't work, but that's ARod's problem.
