Live chat at 4 p.m today
I know this is short notice. But given all the news lately, this seems like a good time to do a live video chat.
So click over to the LoHud Yankees Blog Mogulus channel at 4 p.m. and I’ll take questions for at least 30 minutes.
Thanks.

Cool Pete. I am never able to get through on the chats though
Maybe its my computer?
This has been the most draining off-season ever. I feel like I’ve seen several thousand pictures flashed of ARod over the last 3 days.
It’s like A Clockwork Alex.
While the interview w/Gammons may have seemed interminable, most people don’t realize that ESPN was kind enough to edit out three hours of Gammons talking about the Red Sox.
I don’t know where to submit a question or if it is necessary to wait until 4. But here is a question since I may not be around to do it at 4.
Pete – are there any journalistic tactics with which you disagree, or any journalists for whom you have no respect based on the way they obtain stories? What kinds of behaviors, if any, do you feel are crossing the line in an attempt to get a story?
Thank you.
Why didn’t they explain that he kept looking at Cynthia during the interview. People will look at that as him lying or turning his face to come up with a lie.
I cant tune in so ill post my comment here. How bout we sign manny? That would really be a good way to start the season fresh and get rid of the a-rod scandal.
I wonder if A-Rod is trying to get back with his wife or was she just there to hold his hand?
Great! Can’t wait.
According to newsday, they were crying together before the interview
“His eyes were very, very red, and they were during that first answer,” said Weinbaum, a veteran New York-based producer.
“It looked to me as though he had been crying, and it looked to me as if Cynthia had been crying. I was not upstairs with them, so I don’t know why they were together, but there is no doubt before the red light on the camera ever turned on, this was a very emotional period.”

This guy’s such a trainwreck.
The Michael Jackson of sports.
Ooh a chat. Can’t wait for the PeteAbe hate to roll towards Mr. Arod.
This blog has no more journalistic integrity, but watching Pete flail to use half-stats and knee-jerk responses to beat up on Arod has become quite amusing.
So I stay to laugh.
At you. Not with you.
Maybe A-Rod can patch stuff up with the wife shes a beautiful woman much better than Madonna IMO. A man needs stability in his life especially a guy like A-Rod, I’m sure he misses his daughters as well.
Ya know …. I haven’t heard anything from Jim Gray for several years.
Remember Chad Curtis slamming the door on him after the world series for his Pete Rose inter-view-terrogation at the all-star game’s introduction of the all time greatest players?
I wonder which player will let Selena Roberts know in no uncertain terms that her career ain’t going to involve any interviews with baseball players any time in the future.
Brian (NYC): Hey Rob…why do you think the cheaters of this era are so demonized while the cheaters of previous eras are still looked at through the rosie “when it was a game” glasses? One may be more dangerous than another but isn’t cheating still cheating? Is it because most sports writers have a hard time ripping their childhood idols who might have been cheaters?
Rob Neyer: (12:28 PM ET ) As I mentioned (briefly) in my blog this morning, I’m still waiting for my colleagues — here at ESPN and elsewhere — to explain why the heroes of the 1970s get a free pass on the amphetamines they gobbled like so many SweetTarts.
Ok, I may be naive but I tend to believe that Arod has been clean after 2003.
However, his stated reason for taking juice in the first place seems really shaky.
He maintains he felt enormous pressure with the big contract and playing for the Texas Rangers. I repeat>>>>>the Texas Rangers.
There is no comparison to the amount of pressure to perform when comparing the Yankees and the Rangers. So Arod quit taking the juice and signed an even bigger contract to play in a place that is unequaled when it comes to pressure?
Scott (Bethesda, MD): Sanctimony overdose. Do I like the fact that A-Rod et al. did ‘roids? No, but what is really making me sick is the phony sanctimony from sportswriters and others who believe that these guys violated some kind of sacred trust. The truth is that athletes have “cheated” since ancient times and that they continue to do so. All of you who are calling for A-Rod’s head (the NYDN is particularly over-the-top) need to get your heads out of your tushies and get a little perspective.
Rob Neyer: (12:53 PM ET ) Scott, decorum prevents me from endorsing the specifics of your modest proposal.
