Damon is gone after this year, and with his defensive problems I have a hard time believing he will be re-signed. That leaves a huge leadoff hole in the lineup next year, unless Gardner has a breakout season in CF in 2009. If they give up a solid player like Swish or Nady, they should fill a big hole coming in the not so distant future.
